This is GDWAX001 the debut vinyl release from GLBDOM, featuring four sumptuous, vintage tinged house tracks.

Up first is So Fly by Saint Paul, a soul infused jam with heaps of uplifting vocal samples, organs and synths a plenty, not to mention a subtly jacking beat that steadily bumps the vibe along.

Next up is Keep Me Inside by Yann Polewka, taking things back with that classic house piano buzz. A pounding beat, an understated yet driven bass line, strings, pads and some ecstatic vocals all combine for a truly heavenly touch.

Manuold follows on with Beating Heart, a super catchy deep house number. Melancholic synth stabs and subtly employed vocal samples, luscious pads and that unmistakable house sax sound: Beating Heart is the perfect track for getting the crowd moving.

Finishing the release off are Marc Brauner & David Silver with Gioia, an energetic house tune with an initiable beat and an exquisite bouncing bass line. A soulful, uplifting vibe from start to finish, Gioia is the perfect end to this awesome debut vinyl release.

It's fair to say Pleasure Voyage are having a moment. PREMIERE: Pleasure Voyage - Euforia (Running Hot Remix) [Shades Of Sound Recordings]

Rhythm Department Records label boss and Manchester house giant Swales readies the tenth release on Distant Horizons, showcasing his signature blend of ecstatic rhythms, playful melodies and vivid, late-night excursions. Having become synonymous as a purveyor of quality house through his releases with Dansu Discs, Slothboogie and Honey Butter Records - the UK based producer provides a constant nod to the roots of dance through his own futuristic lens. 

Opening the release is ‘Faded Dreams’, a beautifully crafted track that ebbs and flows amongst sweat induced hugs and tears on the dance floor. The mantra ‘everything must fade’ is voiced softly, speaking to the transient nature of time while embodying the trascendental effect music can have. ‘Waves’ then invites a flow state of peace and tranquility, through its steady pace and oceanic blue textures - the drifting sonics are inviting, encouraging listeners to become lost within their layered arms. 

‘Open Your Mind’ picks up perfectly where ‘Waves’ left off with its jazz infused melodies and organic grooves. The mood radiates new city energy - the first wide-eyed experience of new smells, sights and the shining promise of opportunity. The pleasure dial is turned up to 100 in ‘Looking Back’ Swales capturing the distinctive energy from early house records with a progression of bubbling basslines, infectious chords and nostalgic vocal samples.

The release kicks off with the hypnotic ‘I Do Me’. The track rolls effortlessly into a crescendo of synthetic stabs, panning acid and a throbbing bass fit for Goa. Starting off with a bang, we roll into the breakbeat inflected ‘Kotanyi’. We’re treated to more psychedelic, progressive goodness with a slightly more brooding tone. Subtle keys lighten the track’s final stanza giving it serious sunrise set potential. B1 gives us the colourful ‘Thanks For Calling’. Swirling bleeps and descending acid lines contrast the records balearic sensibilities setting the tone nicely for the Ice Cream side of Semi Delicious’ 13th outing. ‘You Do You’ brings with it broken beats, a top line akin to golden era Italian house and more citrus-y undertones that characterise the record. ‘Shapeshifter’ wraps up the affair with a bang employing an almost speed garage-esque low end below the psychedelic symphony of extraterrestrial sonics dancing above.

French firecracker Adrien Calvet shacks up on those sun-kissed Bali shores providing a luscious EP for Pantai People’s fifth release. Soulful serenity underpinned by bumping house grooves with that distinctive French feel.

On the A, title track ‘Le Doigt De Toto’ kicks off the journey with its infectious bassline, sweeping pads and absorbing vocals. Beachside or boothside, this one hits just right. A strong black coffee and a slice of toast greeted her as she entered the kitchen. It began the same routine as every other day that had gone before. She stared intently at the calendar that hung on the wall; weeks upon weeks of thick red crosses filled the pages. She wasn't counting down to anything in particular, there wasn't much clarity on when this period of emptiness would end. She picked up the pen and marked off the 77th day with a sigh, hopefully the end was in sight...

For their third, and possibly final, instalment in their LPHWHTE V/A series, Let's Play House have enlisted the talents of four producers from across the world, with each cut promising a transmission of hope and joy in the current climate. The NYC-based label have brought together Japan's Keita Sano, French producer Laroze, LPH label boss Jacques Renault and London's Kristy Harper who provides us with a high-energy fuelled acid trip.

Up-and-coming British label Semi Delicious, headed by London-based DJ Demi Riquísimo, returns with their sixth various artists compilation, SEMID006 “Better Days” EP. Across these four tracks, Demi and co. prove their knack for luscious 90’s-Acid-House-leaning club anthems.
	
Coming in hot on the opening to the B-side, London’s Baby Rollén delivers the subtly propulsive, dreamy, and sensuous, “Deep Asleep”. As the title suggests, the song retains an almost eternally nocturnal vibe, the perfect soundtrack for a sleepless club night. The track starts with a steady lurch, as rolling 808 drums and diced up breaks are infused with a repeating, seductive vocal sample, which in turn segues into a robust bass line and elastic, quivering acid line. Buoyed by soft, glowing synths, the track nonchalantly picks up in momentum several times in its span, maintaining a seemingly perpetual apex of Acid House glory. 

The logic of the song could be equated to a dream that emerges in and out of one’s consciousness, each time reemerging in a completely renewed light. The dream in question here, of course, is that sticky acid line, one that’ll be hard to get out of your head even on just one listen. Despite the repetitiveness, there is something meditative and transportive here.
