Russian duo Scruscru and Mike Fot join forces for the ‘Spliff Jamz Vol.1’ EP on SlothBoogie Records this September. Following a series of visits to Moscow between 2018 and 2020 to play at the Powerhouse club, Scruscru would swing by Mike Fot’s apartment for a smoke and a jam session, working with a variety of Roland and Korg gear late into the night. The results of these sessions have led to a series of ‘Spliff Jamz’ EPs; with the first four tracks being presented now via SlothBoogie Records.

There’s a certain grace in consistency - and few embody it quite like Phil Evans. As the founder of Pager Records, he’s quietly shaped the sound of contemporary House with a signature blend of warmth, precision, and forward-thinking groove. Over the years, Evans has turned Pager into a breeding ground for refined producers such as Vitess, Christian Sarde, and Tiago Walter, but "E-Motions" feels like his defining statement: a double LP that doesn’t just compile tracks, but unfolds as a full-scale listening experience - equal parts club weaponry and emotional introspection.

The A-side closes with “Eazin”, a tribal-tinged Deep House cut that merges shimmering synths with hypnotic percussion. There’s a loose, organic flow reminiscent of Pacific State’s Balearic mystique, yet the production feels wholly contemporary - crisp, detailed, and alive. It’s a reminder that Evans doesn’t copy moods; he modernizes them. “Eazin'” captures that late-morning dancefloor serenity - all motion, no tension.

Welcome VA SNGWAX01, the first vinyl release from Sengiley Recordings.

Up first at the A1 slot is Sisters & Brothers by @joint4nine, a funky number with a distinct 90s trip-hop feel, featuring lashings of vocal samples, quirky synths and a rhythm that will have you skipping the needle back to the start of the record over and over.

Next is Check The Vibez by Soul Bridges the project of two brothers @jr-from-dallas & @steve-faets-1 , a deep and soulful house number with bass and keys that go on for miles! Add in some captivating vocals and a pulsing beat, and you have a guaranteed floor filler on your hands.

First on the flip side is Gardens By The Bay by @lastnubian , a striped back deep house beauty with a tantalising intro that entices you to keep listening. Gorgeous EP loops, a throbbing bass line and hypnotic vocals make Gardens By The Bay the perfect after hours groover.

In at the B2 spot is @donniemoustaki with Doobie Moustaffi, a syncopated track with an alluring intro setting the scene for a synth laden voyage through the funkier side of house. With a laid-back vibe, Doobie Moustaffi is the perfect jam for the after-hours late bar.

As if four tracks weren’t enough, @sofa-talk & @xlregular step up with their remix of Doobie Moustaffi, a more upbeat, garage tinged version of the original. With samples, synths, keys and a beat that screams “get up and dance!”, this is the perfect end to an awesome vinyl premier for Sengiley Recordings!
