The latest Neverdogs' offering marks the twentieth body of work to land on their increasingly popular Bamboleo Records imprint, with the duo returning to their spiritual home to unveil an immersive four-track EP.

Beginning with the title track, 'Feeling Something' flies straight out of the gate with bumpy grooves and a catchy bassline whilst Magaziine's hypnotic vocal topline steers the mix.

'Hoover' comes next, keeping the swinging underground flavours at a premium with more jackin' drums, crisp percussive flair and gritty melodies from end to end.

The on-trend sounds of 'Tamarindo' features velvety Deep House vibes with a wave of bright harmonies alongside sultry vocal shots and more well-structured & explicitly danceable drum work.

'Pura Vida' brings the release to a close with upbeat rhythms from the outset, carving out a perpetual subterranean wobbler with endless layers of individual movement and dreamy notes.

James Poole drops ‘Make The Dream Work’ on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax this December.

Following releases on Materialism, South Of Saturn, and his previous ‘Tuff Luck’ EP on Hottrax, UK-based DJ/producer James Poole returns to Jamie Jones’ imprint with another set of three skippy, UKG-influenced house tracks for the 99th release on Hottrax. 

Leading the release is the title track ‘Make The Dream Work’, which combines a catchy organ lead and soulful vocal samples for a bouncy opening track. ‘Ruff Love’ follows, upping the tempo with pumping drums and heavy basslines before ‘Too Cool To Dance' rounds up the release with stuttery synths and vocal hooks.

Mason Talbot is an accomplished DJ and music producer,originally Welsh but residing in Leeds in the United Kingdom. His spark for music and the skill of DJing was kindled at an early age, leading him to acquire his first decks at only 14 years old. Initially drawn to producing rap beats, the transformative experience of seeing Green Velvet live at 17 propelled him toward electronic music. Talbot quickly gained attention in the local scene through his tech house edits on SoundCloud and began performing at local venues. His debut set at the Shutdown indoor skatepark in Leeds cemented his love for the energy and connection he could mend with the crowd.

Throughout his career, Talbot has developed a musical style that is diverse and atmospheric, grounded in genuine and unrestricted creativity. Genres such as garage, minimal house, and tech house have been instrumental in shaping his sound, alongside influences from the speed garage scene. A definitive moment in his career came with the release of his track "Cocaina", on Lee Foss’s imprint, Repopulate Mars. It had garnered over a million streams, brought him international recognition, and received support from big-league names such as Richy Ahmed and MK.

Talbot has played at renowned venues across the UK, including Joshua Brooks in Manchester, MiNT Warehouse, Egg, and Tank Nightclub. His tasteful sound, remarkable understanding of music, and adept ability to read and connect with his crowd ensures an electrifying groove and atmosphere. The highlight of his career thus far was performing at the Leeds Defected festival, where he not only played the main festival but also closed the official afterparty.
Talbot draws inspiration from a multitude of artists, such as Kanye West, Todd Edwards, Chris Stussy, and Tyler the Creator, among others. Moreover, DJing talents like Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, and Seb Zito have shaped his approach to seamlessly blending different genres in his sets.

Returning to one of Lee Foss's labels, "North of Neptune", Talbot continues to unveil his talent and push the envelope. His forthcoming release is a divergence from "Cocaina", embracing a garage-inspired organ melody over moody tech house drums. Mason is also looking forward to releasing more music in 2023 on his own record label, Redefy, and other yet-to-be-announced labels. He views Redefy as a platform to not only showcase his own music but also to highlight the work of his talented friends.
