A great way to Spice up your Major scales practice! This workout takes you through all 12 Major Key signatures. Take up the challenge! (we dare you! ;D). At the sound of the bell (this is your cue) begin playing the next scale. Eb saxes (Alto and Baritone mainly) should play; Eb, Ab, Db, F#, B, E, A, D, G, and C Majors. Bb Clarinets/Bb Saxes (Soprano and Tenor mainly) should play; A, D, G, C, F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, F#, B, E Majors. Flutes should play; G, C, F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, F#, B, E, A, D Majors. Play the scales EITHER in minims for one octave ascending, or Crotchets 2 octaves ascending, or one octave ascending AND descending, or quavers 2 octaves ascending and descending. Listen as the rhythm changes from a Latin groove (straight quavers) to Swing (change to swing quavers accordingly). Minor Scales/Keys workout for Bb, Eb, C Woodwind

A delightful set of two enchanting pieces for Recorder duet and Piano by John Sullivan. Petite Waltz is a lyrical journey of interweaving melodies, twists and turns for Descant (soprano), and Treble recorders with piano. The second miniature (entitled Fairy echoes)is played on two descant (soprano) recorders, and whilst it is based largely on a call and response theme from the recorders, they then duet magnificently in a charming flight of fantasy. Two Miniatures is to be published by Masquerade Music (estimated end of April 2017) and the sheet music will also available in Flutes/Piccolo option, Clarinet, and Soprano saxophone duet editions. This is from my second solo recording 'Lux Aeterna' (for ICC) and is one of two songs that I recorded with Adrian for this project. 'Only Jesus' remains very special to me; it is one of Adrian's most beautiful songs and is one that we performed across Europe on many occasions (and brings back so many memories). I feel that this version brings something of the depth and meaning that we sought to express during a live performance. Other musicians on this track: Tim Oliver - Keyboards, Neil Costello - Guitars and Nick Beggs - Chapman Stick. All solo recordings are now available on itunes or as part of the four CD box set entitled 'In Paradisum' (Ebb & Flow/ICC Records).
