SKIP012 sees Flames Disperse step up to the label with Fractured Futures, a bold two-track release that pushes into the outer edges of contemporary club music. Drawing from a palette of broken rhythms and dubby atmospheres, these tracks melt and warp into late-night rollers that feel both immediate and elusive.

Uncertain Horizons opens the EP with a sense of forward motion and unease. Heavyweight breaks roll beneath dense dub textures, as pads swell and shift in and out of the mix. The bassline, thick and deliberate, anchors the track with gravity, while the shifting percussion generate a flow that keeps the energy simmering. It’s a track that leans into tension, always threatening to spill over but never quite releasing, perfectly poised for peak-time impact.

On the flip, Dystopia Overdrive pulls the listener further into Flames Disperse’s sonic world. The tempo dips and the atmosphere thickens, with metallic hits, skittering percussion and swirling textures creating a hypnotic, slow-burn groove. The rhythm fractures and reforms in unexpected ways, locked into a churn that feels equally suited to a dark basement or a hazy sunrise. It’s a track built for deep listening and heavy systems, exploring a more introspective, late-night space.
