Electronic duo MATHAME are to kick off a four part remix release with their own unique take on 'Breath' by Italian pianist and composer Alessandro Martire. The dreamy and descriptive atmospheres of the original tracks receive new lifeblood from these remixers who all transform the sounds. In Mathame's more electronic remix, Martire's melodies sometimes remain recognisable, other times they blend into the visionary operations of the DJs. 

Say the pair, "We put our emotional touch to the original record transferring the feeling it gave us from the first listen. An almost ethereal emotion but with movement and groove, we had this image: how to stand in front of luminous cables of some kind of material that stretch and relax and vibrate together, almost breathing, like a body."

„RespiraMe“ ist ein Zustand, der während der Produktion entstanden ist — ein Schweben zwischen Adrenalin und Gelassenheit.
Ich begann mit einem Windgefühl im Körper. Der Bass wurde zu meinem Transport, die Claps zu meinem Wegweiser. Ich folgte ihnen neugierig, fast wie im Rausch, bis ich plötzlich in eine tiefe Ruhe fiel. Ein Gefühl von Sicherheit, Vertrauen, Geborgenheit — wie auf einer Wolke, die mich trägt.
Dieser Moment wurde zum Herzstück des Tracks. Ein tiefer Atemzug, der sich durch die Synths zieht. Ein Puls, der nicht drängt, sondern öffnet. Ein Raum, der nicht fordert, sondern hält.

Der Titel „RespiraMe“ kam wie ein Flüstern. Ein Ruf nach Nähe, nach Verbindung, nach einem gemeinsamen Atem.
Und weil ich mich in diesem Prozess selbst begegnet bin, ist die Erdbeere — Fragolina — in diesem Track präsenter denn je. Sie ist das Symbol für mein inneres Universum, das sich in Klang verwandelt hat.
„RespiraMe“ ist ein Atem, der geteilt werden will.
