It was a pleasure to join the Flock of Donkeys for their third burn and reunite with the whole crew.  I also got to meet some exceptionally outgoing and awesome new people this year as well.  The welcoming spirit and inclusive nature of this crew is hard to match.  Well done Donks... see you on the playa!

Boznich is not just another English import. Arriving in NZ 3 years ago, he has ingratiated himself in the Auckland and Raglan house and techno scenes thanks to his lively and kind nature, and passion for quality sound. It just so happens, he’s also a pretty good DJ as well. 

Discovering house and techno was a game changer for Boznich. A trip to California when he was young and the introduction to a set of CDJs and a mixer had him enthralled, but it was Tale of Us and Ben Klock a few weeks later in Bristol that nailed it home for him.

He’s since run nights and graced the decks at some of London’s biggest and most renowned venues, XOXO LDN and Ministry of Sound among them. He’s played at Amsterdam’s ADE and is now bringing his sound to events and festivals across NZ. And we are glad to have him.

This summer sees him playing stages at some of NZ’s biggest festivals alongside some our our most recognised names, he’ll even be playing some of his own tunes that he’s been in the studio honing.

Expect Boznich’s signature groove and melody in this almost 2 hour rolling mix, one he played off the cuff with inspiration from days and nights spent on LO-FI dance floors.

AJ MARR Bio:
Naître et vivre sur une ferme n’est pas l’endroit idéal pour essayer de se démarquer dans les arts. À tous les matins, AJ devait traire les vaches, s’occuper des poules et faire à déjeuner pour ses 7 frères et sœurs. Le chant des bernaches sur l’étang, les chevaux qui galopaient dans l’herbe longue était la base de ses connaissances de sons. La musique était non-existante. C’était banni dans la maison. ‘’Trop de travaux!’’ disait son père. ‘’La musique c’est pour les faibles’’ lui cria par la tête. AJ était convaincu que son père avait raison…
Vers l’âge de 16 ans, en revenant de l’école St-Garouche-de-Carleton, AJ trouva un disque compact sur le bord du ruisseau. Il croyait que c’était un petit disque vinyle. Son ami XI-Cheng, un nouvel arrivant en campagne, avait en sa possession une table tournant Mattel. AJ coura vite vers la grange qu’habitait la famille de 27 de XI-Cheng. ‘’XI! XI! Cria AJ, j’ai trouvé un disque! XI n’en croyait pas ses yeux, en 76 ans il n’avait jamais cru pouvoir se servir de sa table tournante AJ installa le disque compact sur la table tournante. XI déposa l’aiguille et… crrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeessshhhhooooooooooccrrriiiiiishhhhhhhhhhh…… ‘’WOW!!!!’’ les 2 amis n’en revenait pas! C’était la plus belle chose qu’ils n’ont jamais entendue. C’était le début de l’amour que AJ a avec la musique électronique. Ce disque? Sheet One, de Plastikman.
AJ MARR a fait une prestation au Stereo, une des place les plus réputé de Montréal ainsi qu'il a également joué en Nouvelle Orléan.

Madloch's 3rd Avenue is delighted to present Cosas Que Me Quedo, the debut solo EP from young Argentinian producer Cocet. Hailing from Mendoza, Cocet first appeared on the label earlier this year with a track on the 5th Moods Sampler, following his production debut on the Spring Sampler via our Future Avenue sublabel. His music already shows a strong sense of identity, blending deep atmospheres with melodic detail.

The Cosas Que Me Quedo EP features three originals, including the title track alongside Plaza De Chacras and 21:00 en Verano.

Massimo Conecto: The Journey of a passionate dj

Born Dirk Stommels aka Massimo Conecto has carved a niche for himself in the world of music since 1999, becoming a celebrated dj known for his boundless passion and eclectic taste across various musical styles. His musical journey began in his childhood, inspired significantly by his grandfather, a jazz musician who had the honor of playing alongside the legendary Toots Thielemans. This early exposure to jazz ignited Dirk's lifelong love for music, but it was the rise of house music that truly inspired and set him on his current path.

Dirk's entry into the dj scene was accidental ; a simple question—“Do you have any cd’s in the car to play some music?”—led him to his first gig, marking the crucial start of his dj-career. 

Dirk needed a stage name, and it was during a meeting with the talented dj Ken Bleys that he was introduced to the name Massimo Conecto. Ken recognized Dirk's unique ability to connect people, especially through music, and the name was a perfect fit.

Over the years, Massimo Conecto has evolved as a dj, performing at a variety of events both in Belgium and internationally. His performances at private parties, Karma Lodge in South Africa, and the vibrant Kae Funk in Zanzibar showcase his versatility and appeal. Notable appearances at Café d’Anvers and Floorfiller Festival in his homeland became annual highlights,  manifesting his growing influence in the music scene.

In recent years, Massimo has played at prestigious afterparty’s for major events such as Defected Croatia and he recently returned to Zanzibar, further solidifying his international presence. As a resident dj and organizer for the Journey of Love events, he has been instrumental in creating unforgettable experiences at already legendary gatherings like The Theatre of Love, The Library of Love,  The Palace of Love and The Cruise of Love. While he has mastered various musical styles, Massimo is currently embracing Melodic/Techno and Progressive House, indicating an exciting new chapter in his musical evolution.

As whispers circulate about his plans to produce his own music, Massimo Conecto remains committed to his core identity: connecting the right people at the right place through the universal language of music. For him, music is not just sound; it is a deeply felt emotion that lies at the heart of humanity. 

Massimo Conecto is not just a dj, he is a bridge between people and emotions, crafting memorable moments through the transformative power of music.
