" Now this one is a belter. I can't get over how incredibly catchy this tune is that I've actually been listening to Copenhagan on repeat while writing this article up.

Like all House & Techno, Copenhagan's got a consistent and pounding four on the floor groove but it's that rolling bass synth and the shuffle of the hats that really define and bring the elements together in James Pepper's production. The hints of reverb and delay tailing off the hypnotic airy bell synths adds eeriness and somewhat a layer of sensuality to Copenhagen. "

The Copenhagen EP features two beautifully crafted tracks from JP which marks the first release under newly formed movement and label Finer Things. Through moving synths and range of various creative samples, James Pepper achieves an EP full of emotion that caters to all your Deep House/House needs.

This Melbournian is no stranger to floor-filler deep house with proper tunes released on labels like Nerang, Bon Appetit, Tiger Tapes and Clipp.art to name a few but takes immense steps forward with ‘I Know EP’. Third and closing track, ‘All that’s inside me’ is tuned for the clubs with prominent grooves on the bassline, shimmering arpeggios, and crisp hi-hats that work as engines to keep you dancing through the night. Exquisitely layered with spacey chords to get lost to and reverberating vocal loops that cut in and out of the track like club lights intermittently flickering onto the heads and abled bodies on the dance floor.

The vital No.19 Music continues to serve up essential club weapons, this time with a hotly anticipated offering from the legendary DJ Sneak.

DJ Sneak is an original Chicago house gangster who pioneered the filter house sound and has continued to evolve and adapt over the ensuring years. His I’m A House Gangster label is a go to outlet for high quality, ‘floor rocking grooves and his own powerful sets continue to blow crowds away around the world. Now he’s back with what is sure to become a surefire summer anthem and one of his biggest tracks to date.

The brilliantly frenzied ‘Psycho Killer’ features re-recorded Talking Heads vocals by Franco- American Charlie Sputnik. His standout delivery captures the tortured, freaky feeling of the original as gliding drums and hits form the groove below. Overdriven percussion adds to the intensity of a cut that is guaranteed to make a huge impact in any set. The track has already been creating quite a stir, featuring in the sets of Jamie Jones, Ricardo Villalobos and Art Department at the likes of Amnesia and Kappa Festival, whilst Eats Everything has given the record an early preview on BBC Radio 1.

Alongside the original is an excellent raver dub, which is more stripped back with the focus on the driving house groove and a free roaming, brain-melting bassline that snakes down below. It’s another high-octane track that will blow up the party. A radio edit is also included with some wild guitars layered in for extra madness.

This is a massive package that will detonate any club with its impressive energy levels and excellent re-working of such anthemic vocals.
