Anyma, a radical new multidisciplinary digital project from Tale Of Us innovator Matteo Milleri, arrives on Afterlife.

Matteo’s achievements with Tale Of Us need little introduction. Soaring to the highest heights of success, he is now exploring the realm of the metaverse with his hybrid persona, Anyma. The Sentient EP* signals the arrival of this integrative algorithmic consciousness. KLASTÓS - REWORK EDITION
During this very particular year, Ginevra Nervi understood that one of the most important things to her and to her creative process is creating special connections with other artists from all over the world, and Klastós talks exactly about the connection between everyone and everything. 
The pandemic demonstrated perfectly, more than ever, how humans need to be connected to each other, how humans are not able to stay alone for long times and how this makes us vulnerable. We need to communicate and always interact with something new and different from our personal perspectives of things. 
In this “rework project” I see exactly what the concept represents. 

THE REWORKERS
Chevel said that reworking Ginevra's music came out quite fast and instinctive. He created a strong contrast between her vocal tones and his cold, synthetic and glossy sounds. It's something he always looks for when he produces, giving a contrast of feelings, whether it is with opposite layers or some kind of questions and answers between elements and melodies.

One of Belfast's finest musical exports, DJ and producer Garry McCartney has become a prominent figure in the melodic techno world. 

Releases on Sasha's Last Night on Earth, Shall Not Fade, Tusk Wax, Aus and BPitch Control has made him a mainstay of the U.K. house and techno scene, with a recent BBC Radio 1 Hottest Record nod for 'Ekstac' from Annie Mac. 

While Ejeca soared on the underground scene, it was another passion project that drew Garry’s attention in the studio; Trance Wax. 

Growing up in an era where trance and progressive artists Sasha, Chicane and Paul Oakenfold were household pop music names, Garry was inspired to recut nostalgic rave hits to fit the eclectic environment of modern dance floors. 

The vinyl-only pressings worked their way into the record boxes of The Black Madonna, Bicep, Job Jobse and Denis Sulta, found radio support from the likes of B Traits and Danny Howard, and earned him a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in 2018 - providing end of the night moments for a generation of artists who fondly remember dance music’s golden era. 

His first digital remixes arrived in 2019, reworking Above & Beyond pres. OceanLab's 'Clear Blue Water' and 'Satellite', supporting the Anjunabeats head honchos at two sold out London Printwork shows.

Taking Trance Wax to the next level, we're proud to present his debut original release, the 'Manaya EP'.

Showing three sides to the Trance Wax sound, the EP draws heavily on turn of the millenia dance music culture. There’s a headsy The Future Sound Of London trip with ‘Northern Sky’, already a Friday fire record on Danny Howard’s BBC Radio 1 show. 

‘Alone Again’ takes things a step deeper; a vocal track that has been multiple years in the making from Garry. Providing a feel good hit of euphoria, ‘Manaya’ is a throwback to the classic uplifting trance sound.

Layton Giordani crafts his most accomplished work to date with ‘New Generation’, his second album on Drumcode. 
 
Since 2017’s critically acclaimed debut album ‘Where It Begins’, the New Yorker has entrenched himself as one of the label’s most vital artists and leader of techno’s new school brigade. At just 27, he’s collaborated with Adam Beyer and Green Velvet on multiple occasions, linked with the legendary Danny Tenaglia for the now-classic ‘Live Again’ and played everywhere from Awakenings, Melt! Festival and Warehouse Project. He’s also lived the Transatlantic life more than most, splitting his time between the Big Apple and Amsterdam, absorbing influences from across the electronic spectrum.  
 
It’s these experiences that inform ‘New Generation’, a masterclass of techno futurism and glistening example of Giordani’s ever-developing talents as a producer. Opening with the shimmering soundscapes of ‘Shinjuku’, a beatless two-and-a-half-minute mood setter, the album swings between timeless multi-faceted dancefloor weapons, and more lilting, ambient techno cuts rips for the golden hour. 
 
Already a favourite of the Drumcode faithful, the album’s title track hits with a swarm of synapsesearing synths that saw it go down a treat at Awakenings Festival, Tomorrowland and Gashouder in the second half of 2019. ‘System Majority’ balances atmosphere and propulsive rhythms on a knife’s edge and featured in Beyer’s DCR 515 radio show. Giordani reunites with the legendary Green Velvet for ‘Life Lesson’, a pulsating roller, which notably features the young New Yorker’s hypnotic vocals on loop. Teaming with friend and fellow East Coaster Avision, ‘Power’ is punchy techno at its finest, driven by energetic stabs and a stirring vocal from Chicago journeyman Cevin Fisher. After playing b2b a string of times, Layton links with good friend Bart Skils for a maiden collaborative track. Driven by a strong melodic lead, ‘Midnight Magic’ typified the moment when the duo played it at Drumcode’s Awakenings event during ADE last year. ‘Feel A Vibe’ is an album highlight centered around plump bass, reverb-heavy sonics, distorted bleeps and a spoken word vocal, which begs for a peak-time rinse. 
 
Elsewhere Giordani demonstrates his breadth with cuts such as ‘Nirvana X’, a lush breakbeat-laden cut; the laser-kissed ‘Translation Lost’, where his musicality is in full view and the progressive-tinged 
‘Memory Fragment’, which reinforces the expansive Drumcode sound palette. The beautiful ‘Human Error’ closes out the work, as muffled horns, delicate keys and sparse bed of percussion unify for a momentous finale.

In 2019 Montoya released his 3rd album ‘Otun’ on ZZK Records. His blend of Afro-Colombian Rhythms and electronic beats (featuring vocalists Pedrina and Quantic collaborator Nidia Gongora) found support from the likes of Branko, Nubya Garcia, Papaoul, and many a dancefloor that came out to see him on tour.

Montoya is a classically trained violinist who moved from Colombia to Italy in 2001 where he joined Fabrica, a “cultural subversion center”, and experimented with arts and music. His fresh take on Colombian sounds pricked up the ears of contemporaries and soon he was asked to remix Nicola Cruz, Matanza and others. 

To borrow some words from DJ Mag, “from Colombia to Treviso via music. Montoya is surely one of the most interesting musicians on the scene”.  Montoya has now invited some of his friends, from Treviso to Colombia, to put their spin on his music. 

Chilean DJ Raff was an architect of the hip-hop scene in Chile and his ‘Latino & Proud’ track was used as the theme tune for Comedy Central’s award winning Broad City.  Since moving to London his electronic productions have gained support from Tom Ravenscroft and Gilles Peterson (BBC 6 Music) and others .  Having recently released music on Dengue Dengue Dengue’s new label, DJ Raff now turns ‘Solo Quiero’ into a sun drenched summer anthem.  

Clap! Clap! has developed his own inimitable style which has seen him gain support from Paul Simon, Gilles Peterson, Future Music Magazine and a raft of others. Montoya recently remixed Clap! Clap!’s ‘Rising Fire’ and now Clap! Clap! dials up the bass and marimba on Montoya’s ‘Pasillo’.

Barcelona based Baiuca has been making a name for himself with his unique vision of traditional folk music from Galicia reshaped with club orientated electronics. His take on ‘Otun’ gives it a deep bouncy and propulsive bass line punctuated with Nidia Gongora’s hypnotic vocals. 

Kenyan field recording and experimental sound artist KMRU, who received recognition from the likes of Resident Advisor for his delicate works, has put his distinct ambient touch on ‘Perla’.  

Lorenzo BITW, Cornelius Doctor, and Delaunay offer up their experimental versions and Joaquin Cornejo revisits ‘Solo Quiero’ with an ethereal blissed out mix.
