'Kassey Voorn’s ‘Skyline’ gets some stellar remix treatment from John Cosani, Blusoul and Panayiotis Tassis.

Released late last year as part of the ‘Party Bots’ EP, ‘Skyline’ showcased the Greek underground hero’s silky beats and understated melodics.

First up, Argentinian label regular, John Cosani adds his unique flavour transforming the track with low-slung bass goodness, building up the melodic elements patiently towards an epic climax.

Back to Aegean territory to find Blusoul, who broke onto the scene way back in 2009, bringing his considerable studio skill to bear next. Deeply trippy from the off, arps intermingle with the original motifs to create a late night soundscape that ebbs and flows. The main break develops new ideas which transport the track in exciting new directions.

Finally, Panayiotis Tassis takes up the challenge. His groovy and hypnotic re-imagination shows the Greek underground is in good hands.'

Returning to the label and providing the lone interpretation of Eastern Taboo is AudioStorm. Having made his Transensations debut with "Valley of Hope", AudioStorm now returns to the label with a stunning remix, presenting a perfect balance of warmth and fluid rhythms, obscure melodies and lots of percussion, groove and atmospheric textures.

D.J. MacIntyre's SLC-6 Music opens the new year by welcoming Dr Green back to the label for a new EP. Hailing from Sri Lanka, Daniel Claessen aka Dr Green's involvement with SLC-6 over the past year has been extensive including roles as a core artist, remixer, and label assistant. Immediately recognizable for his groovy and percussive progressive sound, Dr Green has compiled an impressive resume in relatively short order, with BCSA, Electronic Tree and Movement Recordings being recent landing spots for his tracks. Now, as 2023 begins, Dr Green makes a welcome return to SLC-6 with 'Ananta', alongside remixes from VegaZ and Evegrem. The opener and title selection 'Ananta' finds Dr Green at his creative best, with a contemporary progressive cut that takes square aim at the dancefloor through pulsating grooves, lively percussive arrangements and a healthy dose of quirky synth swagger. Selection two finds Dr Green and fellow countryman Gru V joining forces on 'Atman'. Together the duo craft a stomping peak time cut that excels through emotive chord changes and scintillating synth flares. Returning to the label for the first interpretation of 'Ananta' is Sri Lankan artist VegaZ. The Galle resident maintains the energetic pulse of the original, while adding greater tension across a two minute interlude, which ultimately spearheads a hook heavy finale. The release concludes with Evegrem returning to the label for the second and final interpretation of 'Ananta'. The Argentinean artist maintains the peak time vibe of the original, while adding a greater melodic sensibility through esoteric leads and shape shifting atmospheres.

The greek duo Serious Dancers @seriousdancers comes to Univack for the first time with his track 'Sabase Pahale', an original track which shows the particular and special style this duo has... where hypnotic melodies and vocals, sinuous rhythms, cinematic sounds and organic elements   are mixed to make you dance like in an ancient ritual.

The EP is completed by the remix from the also greek and great artists Ilias Katelanos @iliaskatelanos & Plecta @plecta86 , who present their own vision of 'Sabase Pahale', loyal to the original version, a bit less deep, but also more progressive and groovier.
