Our next Villain release is by the talented Snareskin; a Dutchman from the south of The Netherlands. At only 20 years old, his productions are definitely way ahead of his age. Snareskin has managed to cut right to the chase with this song, delivering powerful emotions with catchy melodies.

Waves of Time, featuring the vocals of Labisch, is arranged creatively; arpeggios provide the melodic foundation, while the percussion consistently pushes the music forward throughout. Bright, omnipotent synth stabs at the chorus accentuate Labisch’s soft-yet-solid emotional vocals, making us feel many emotions at once. Sit back and experience the waves of sound crashing over you.

Dutchman Snareskin is back - this time with a remix of fellow countrymen Ducked Ape’s “Lost In Escape”, featuring Lauren Tyler Scott as featured on their Follow EP. With Lauren’s vocals also featuring prominently in Snareskin's remix, one is reminded of the original while also transported into Snareskin’s sonic universe and take on the tune.

Yet the drop blows everyone out of the water; a massive buildup leads to omnipresent synths punctuated by tom-tom fills, glides, arpeggios and bass drops in half-steps and minor keys. After the melodic assault comes another period of calm - a fitting transition given the backstory to “Lost In Escape”, but while one is indeed taken along for the ride it is never quite clear what will happen next. 

Emotional and yet marinated in creativity, this remix is definitely one you don’t want to miss.

THIS SONG BELONGS TO KORG AND ITS AFFILIATES, YADA YADA. IT IS NOT MINE, I DID NOT COMPOSE OR ARRANGE IT, MERELY RECORDED IT.

I literally couldn't find this anywhere on the Internet, so I had to upload it myself as soon as I had a jack to record with. I don't know what musical genius composed this, but it's the first demo song on the Korg M01D app for 3DS. It does a great job emphasizing the types of compositions the M1 worked best with, and even reminds me of some composers I like, such as Tee Lopes.

Sorry for the bit of white noise bleeding through, I couldn't exactly get a clean recording with a 3DS and a standard headphone jack. Couldn't EQ it out either, it's pretty well mixed in with the other frequencies.
