10 years on from the conception of Outtallectuals in the form of a Facebook community, we're delighted to still be here, finetuning the label's signature sound in a never-ending global creative soup.

Accordingly, 'Liminal Lore' celebrates OUTTA's first decade through a predictably collaborative roster, featuring the label regulars, as well as new contributors such as Bulgarian legends, Ivan Shopov and Theodossii Spassov, cinematic bass producer, Boketto, the deep ambient psychedelic dub techno duo of Arkaean and Unsung I, and POAN, Lo.Renzo's ambient side project with Giacomo Barbari.

The concept of 'Lore' is sonified through the 'old world' influences of the album; through the sounds of nature, bulbul tarang, banjo, g clarinet, darbuka, hang drum, sarangi, slide guitars, violins, flutes & tribal percussions. 'Liminality' is, of course, through the celebration of a shifting decade, an in-between milestone for the label.

This song is a prayer and a blessing to Mother Earth.  It is an honor to present this to you.  This is a story of the volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii, Kilauea.  Where I studied audio alchemy, and felt the shake of the earth for the first time under my feet.  Blessings to Ellagon Lamantia and to all the Merkaba Music Family! A project unlike any other comes to Desert Trax this fall. Between 2009 and 2012, psychedelic bass producer Twin Shape created but left unfinished three songs that tied him inextricably to a certain time and place. As the years went on, these pieces remained rough and untouched, until he sought the help of three fellow producers to help him complete these songs.
The result is the 'Auxiliatus' EP. From the Latin to support, Alterra, Shwamp , and COAM stepped in to give Twin Shape distance, perspective, and help to revisit these original creations and give them a contemporary feel on Seeded, D&N and Glimpse, respectively. Three tightly wound compositions that have spanned nearly a decade since their inception now come to life with throbbing low end and alien implications. A strong recommendation for fans of Bird of Prey, Phutureprimitive, and Ott.

Standout Desert Trax contributor Key-G steps in for a remix of the Alterra collab, Seeded, to round out this 4-track set. The Auxiliatus EP is finally available September 13th.
