180/32 – 180 Minuten, 32 Tracks, eine Reise durch die Zeit.

DJ-Mixe waren für mich schon immer mehr als nur aneinandergereihte Tracks – sie erzählen eine Geschichte. In diesem Set verschmelzen Vergangenheit und Zukunft, alte Einflüsse und neue Inspirationen. Viele dieser Stücke begleiten mich schon lange und haben meine musikalische Reise geprägt – sei es auf dem Dancefloor oder in unvergesslichen DJ-Sets anderer Künstler.

Ich habe diesen Mix "180/32 Timeless Frequencies" genannt, weil er genau das widerspiegelt: Klangwelten, die zeitlos sind und Emotionen transportieren. Beim Auflegen folge ich keinem festen Plan – ich lasse mich treiben, spüre die Energie und lasse die Musik den Weg weisen.

Auch wenn ich ein alter Techno-Hase bin, hat mich House-Musik schon immer fasziniert. Besonders die 90er Jahre hatten eine Magie, die bis heute nachhallt. Dieser Mix fängt genau diese Atmosphäre ein – eine Hommage an den Sound, der mich geprägt hat.

For me, DJ mixes have always been more than just stringing tracks together – they tell a story. In this set, past and future merge, blending old influences with new inspirations. Many of these tracks have been with me for a long time and have shaped my musical journey – whether on the dancefloor or in unforgettable DJ sets by other artists.

I named this mix "180/32 - Timeless Frequencies" because it reflects exactly that: sonic landscapes that are timeless and filled with emotion. When I play, I don’t follow a fixed plan – I go with the flow, feel the energy, and let the music guide the way.

Even as an old techno head, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for house music. The '90s had a certain magic that still resonates today. This mix captures that atmosphere – a tribute to the sound that shaped me.

Bio:
VLKN  is a dj based in Istanbul. His real name is Volkan.
As he averages adolescence, he fanatically discovers electronic sounds. After listening, dancing and vibrating with the beats of electronic music, he decided to insert himself fully into the universe of the trays back in 2003. For some years now VLKN has used vinyl as the preferred format for his presentations. He believes that it is the most noble and beautiful format to be able to transmit what flows from within when making a set. His passion for music has lead him to start creating his own productions, where he is looking to continue to develop his unique sound. You can listen his first EP ''Senses'' on his Soundcloud page or on Beatport. His sound incorporates warm, beautiful melodies, groovy basslines, and more than a touch of class. He seeks to touch the hearts and minds of dancers with improvisations based on their set, setting and atmosphere. Javi Bora and Le Vinyl reignited their winning collaboration with this searing four-tracker on Steve Bug's Audiomatique label. Both hailed from Spain and were heavily influential in the notorious party capital of Ibiza – with Javi Bora as Kehakuma resident DJ at Spaze Ibiza – it was fair to say that both of these guys knew how to lay down tracks that worked crowds to the bone. Luckily, this release did all that and more.

'Momma’s Tale' was a slick, punchy and epic jam that somehow managed to keep its tension throughout the track, building into an unstoppably infectious groove.
Sacha D'Flame added soulful, classic-house-infused vocals to bring the whole thing to a floor-wrecking climax. Also included was a Dub Mix for DJs who preferred the more stripped down approach.

'Heart Roaring' was another main room bomb waiting to go off. Its swirling groove and sharp, funky programming was reminiscent of Detroit house masters such as Rick Wilhite and Norm Talley, and was sure to wreak serious damage when dropped at peak time.
