The Myth of Twilight is the most ambitious work of sound artist Justin Wiggan (aka Roadside Picnic). Inside this box you will find four cassettes and a 60 page book. Each cassette is housed in an O-card and the tapes are wrapped in a gold cloth. The book documents a 2014 residency and performance in Kingshurst, UK. There are full-color photographs, a report by an anonymous witness, and detailed information about the sleep habits of the town’s residents. The cassettes contain seven “Sleep Foundation” audio programs which range from gauzy lullabys to spoken affirmations to seemingly autonomous machine noise; over 4 hours of audio.
