Further afield, Timo has a brand new remix for Hackman coming soon on LA’s Halycon as well as putting finishing touches to a super exciting new project for My Favorite Robot, which rest assured you will be hearing a lot about. Plasmik – our Connaisseurs for deep and oldschoolish Techno tracks, were quite successful in 2007. Their Interswap release from April 2007 found its way in several top DJ Charts and on great compilations and mix-cds.
Due to this and also our celebration of our 20th catalogue number, we proudly present an extraordinary remix-package, split into two parts.

Part 1 features Supertubos in a remix by another king of oldschoolish Techno – Matt O’Brien. On side b, Afrilounge gives Mindpattern a special string treatment.

Part 2 has to be in no way inferior in the choice of the remixers. On the a-side, Claude VonStroke goes with Pitch It as deep as he has never gone before and on the b, Perspectiv newcomer Minz gives the dancefloor a lesson in hypnotizing state of mind.

“Supertubos (Matt O’Brien Rmx)” – Matt O’Brien once said, he likes Plasmik because they remind him a bit of old Cabinet tunes. With this remix, he turned Supertubos into a 100% Cabinet tune. A track that isn’t modern in any way. Some might say it sounds like an old techno record – but for us, it’s simply timeless.

“Mindpattern (Afrilounge’s Deep String Mix)” – Afrilounge turned the bumpy Mindpattern into an incredibly deep and slowly upbuilding string monster with a wonderful long outro – perfect after party food.

“Pitch It (Claude VonStroke Rmx)” – San Francisco’s Claude VonStroke, Dirty Bird and Mothership mastermind, delivers his deepest Techno work so far. A development of his style as he said, and we are proud this first step in a new direction happened on Connaisseur.

“Supertubos (Minz’ life comes in waves rework)” – Minz, discovered by Ripperton for his Prespectiv label, created an amazingly hypnotic and trippin groove monster with his first remix work. Its subtle build-up creates an outstanding atmosphere.

Aroy Dee's MOS Deep does analogue deep and classic house like few other labels do today. This new Black Rain EP marks a return to the label for R-A-G aka Aroy himself, G-String and Marco Spaventi.

Opening with 'The Fog' the deep vibe is set immediately. Crispy snares, a chugging groove and plenty of eerie sonics swirl around into something with a keen sense of foreboding. 

The titular track then gets all Chicago with its busy claps and nagging synth lines. The mood is a sombre one for those creepy back room sets and the analogue machinery used to make it gives a trademark warm and fuzzy feel to proceedings. 

The EP closes with a reprise of ‘Black Rain’. This beat-less rework deals in ambient synthscapes that drag you into their fold and never let you go. Essential business once again from MOS!

For our 6th release, we dug out what many claim to be one of the best Progressive tracks ever, having been included on none other than James Holden's seminal Balance 005. Remixing such a timeless classic is no easy task, one we faithfully entrusted to Israeli prodigy Guy J, who delivered a dance-floor weapon of epic proportions!

Release info: 

Deux Tigres are Alex Nieminen and Heikki Liimatainen from Helsinki, Finland. The duo has extensively been active in the club scene since the 90s and this is the first time they hit the studio together. 

Alex Nieminen is known from the famous Finnish club radio show DanceMob, and he has been djing since the end of the 80s. Heikki Liimatainen is a well know producer in the house and progressive scenes and has released his music under the names of Dallas Superstars and Bostik. 

Dragonfly has been a underground goodie in the Helsinki club scene since the original surfaced on a few selected djs playlists earlier in the year. Thus it was the right choice to keep the whole releases Finnish and commissioning remixes from Jori Hulkkonen and Arttu. 

Jori does not need any introduction, he's currently on fire with his brand new album on My Favorite Robot and the ultra hot Sin Cos Tan duo on Solina Records. 
His remix is an ode to the melodic side of detroit techno, starting with arpegiated synth lines and as soon as the acid line drops we know we have the master of 303 in action once again. 

Arttu who is probably the most in-demand Finn right now drops one of his Chicago Jack monsters - dark, percussive and highly addictive this has been lately dropped by Sasse with great success.
