2012:
A Song made for my brother who died.
it was for a radio contest,
and i thought you had to produce the thing yourself,
so being completely new to production i tried.
turns out they wanted a demo, and turns out i couldn't write the lyrics to it.
so here it is, like death, a figment of a thing that could not be.

The Long Road

2011:
my first experiment with multitracking.
the session comprised of a hotel coffee cup,
a guitar, and a recycle bin,
this was after my first listen of the beach boys "pet sounds"
and i really felt the music.
i have written it, but the demo means more to me.

A Million Miles.... demo

2011:
Made During a Wake for my aunty,
don't know how i made it, i hadn't slept in a day.
just sounds piratey. hence the name.

hard is me hearty

2012:
after my failed radio demo thing,
i was asked to keep my cousins guitar safe,
the first time i played guitar in 2 years.
so i was strumming along while my daughter looked at me,
for a moment our eyes met, and she truly looked at me,
gazed in interest as to what i was doing,
a song was born.
i have a polished edited version.
but the demo means more to me. 
as the chorus distorted guitar i recorded over on accident,
and haven't been able to replicate it, 
so this version will always be my favorite.

Best So Far demo

2015:
my first beat,
got a hold of some new equipment to experiment with,
and this was the first fruit of that labor.
the elec/piano loop freaked me out as i recorded it at 3 am - 5 am,
and it sounded to me, very dark and weird,
which is the lane i have been in since.
it was for a friend but he passed, 
as he said it felt to fast for him to rap to.
the song alone taught me a lot,
rap beats take more thought than most give it credit for.

First Spark

i was gonna upload a new song,
but it grew beyond a simple days edit,
so i reneged on my original intention,
and uploaded this one in its stead.
it was supposed to suggest happiness with the inital keyboards,
but obviously it turned into something else,
sort of like life.

Another Way To Say Goodbye

I chose Blade Runner to score the intro too,
it always fascinated me when i would watch it,
and would think to myself "if only i had the chance to score something like it".
so i took a crack at it a few days ago and i like the results.
