A Brand New Praise

Amongst, musicians and music instructors, ‘LUBENOO’ is endowed with an exceptional ability that can ‘squeeze water out of rock’. Little wonder, he is often described as the man with the ‘Midas touch’.

Born Lucky Benedict Oamhen Okoekhian, he holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with specializations in Sound Engineering and Information Technology.

His music interest was stirred by early childhood risings to the cool sounds of Folk, Country, Soul, Jazz and Pop music that where in great rotation in the 1980s. Also was the particular influence of Church hymns and the Organ.

His first 'public' music performances were in Church choirs in the 1990s and since then luBENoo has made remarkable exceptions in Composition, Vocal Coaching, Instrument/Performance mentoring and Choral Directing. 

Having spent the last two decades imparting on musicians at different levels, he continues to employ 'Music' as a professional medium to express his art and affect his world positively.

In the words of his admirers, "his person comes alive once he is into music, time stops and cares fade away.  And he does it with such affecting passion that you can feel him in your soul and wish he could just go on and on!"

LUBENOO has pioneered many music projects and ideologies in systematic and ethno musicology in Nigeria. He has to his credit several Chorale classics in diverse Nigerian languages and has won several awards in diverse forums.

The passion to instill standards in upcoming music enthusiasts is still the pivot of his activities as he explores Music production, Talent development/counseling/management and TV reality shows.

LUBENOO as an artiste is best described as a socially-conscious Christian mind whose music celebrates and encourages the eternal virtues of Faith and Morals. His music style is centered on Gospel forms with robust fusion of Soul derivatives and other music genres.
He is happily and fruitfully married.
