The latest episode of The Geek On takes a close look at documentaries. Our starting point is the Guernsey made film 'Sea Donkey' which follows the exploits of a local guy whose heart is set on accomplishing one of the hardest physical feats there is. We follow his training regime in the Valette Bathing Pools and his brave attempt at one of the coldest, cruelest long-distance open-water swims there is. The panel then share their favourite documentaries. Join Mat Walters, Steve Palmer, Wynter Tyson and Lizzie Loveridge on their voyage through documentaries.

The BFI, the bastion of UK film knowledge,  polled 846 critics, programmers, academics and distributors to compile their list of the top 50 greatest films of all time.

The 50-year reign of Citizen Kane is now over. Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo has knocked off Orson Welle’s masterpiece from the church tower at San Juan Bautista to take the top spot.

To mark this event, the team revisit Vertigo and see if it is worthy to be crowned the Greatest Film of all time and choose films they’d like to see in the top 50.
