Pioneer of Senegalese rap and founding member of the group Wa BMG 44 (Wa Bokk Mënmën Guëstu), which means "all together for better reflection," Matador embarked on a solo career in 2007. He continues to push the musical limits of the Senegalese urban scene and remains a committed community activist through his foundation, Africulturban. He combines hip hop, slam poetry, and traditional Senegalese instruments to highlight both the values of hip hop and Senegalese culture.
