LNOE137 showcases the fruits of an exciting collaboration between US based producers; Rinzen & Enamour. Both have a very impressive track records, releasing music on labels like Mau5trap, Anjunadeep, Yoshitoshi and more. This joint effort brings out the signature qualities of both producers, utilizing the weight of Rinzen’s cinematic sound design techniques and the playfulness found through Enamour’s eclectic musical upbringing.
 
The result is best described as a club EP, containing huge awe-inspiring moments and some very big grooves. The title track ‘Photon’ creates an intriguing atmosphere, using spread-out staccato melodies and a big bass-line to set the mood, followed by ‘Miracle of The Sun’, bringing a playful groove into the landscape and slowly building towards a drop of cosmic proportions. We’ve asked both producers to give their comments about this release;
 
Rinzen: "I'm honored to make my debut on Last Night On Earth with this new EP with Enamour. I've always loved the label's consistency and quality of releases. Beyond that, Sasha has had a major influence on my career and is a constant source of inspiration. It feels surreal to be releasing on his label now."
 
Enamour: “Sasha has been a role model for many years as someone who confidently stands between genres, bridging the sounds of the past and future—two traits I consider defining elements of the Enamour project. It's been great working with my good friend Rinzen again. I find we work really well together, pushing each other out of our usual habits to create music uniquely different from our own styles yet still a clear mix of our musical DNA.”
 
The EP also features a remix by the Polish producer ANII, who has been making a name for herself on labels like Afterlife, Kompakt and Stil Vor Talent. The rising star has outdone herself on crafting a remix of ‘Photon’ utilizing her enigmatic plucked synths, and signature drums to shape the original tune into a big festival banger. 
 
Rinzen & Enamour’s debut on LNOE will be out October 1st on LNOE, followed by the ANII Remix on October 8th - available across all digital platforms.

Perspectives Digital is excited to announce the 50th release featuring a collaboration between label boss Darin Epsilon and prolific producer Cid Inc from Finland.  The two highly respected artists have collaborated on a multitude of universally praised projects, including their ‘Outliers’ release in 2015, which launched the label’s first Beatport Play remix contest.

More recently, the duo achieved monumental success with their remix of ‘Auralphase’ by Robert Babicz, which charted in Beatport’s Top 100 Techno Tracks for 50 consecutive days!  On the brink of their next DJ tour spanning from Canada to South America, they team up once again to bring us ‘Resistencia’ & ‘Myndie’ for this milestone release.

The first track ‘Resistencia’ was inspired from Darin and Cid’s performances in northeast Argentina. This track evokes the vibrancy and love from the city it was named after. ’Resistencia’ is an uplifting journey that takes flight with warm and lush pads weaving into radiant chord progressions.

On the flip side is ‘Myndie’, a name which stuck with Cid Inc after his performance at the Rainbow Serpent festival earlier this year.  In Aboriginal Australian culture, the mythological rainbow serpent is considered to be either the giver of life or cause of great destruction, and is one of the oldest continuing religious beliefs in the world.  Creating a rumbling energy and nefarious vibe with its hard kick, shuffling highs, and mechanical sounds, the track will surely be a formidable force on the dancefloor.

Presenting his first project of 2019, Cid Inc. returns to Replug Records with 'Via Karelia'. 2018 saw the Finnish artist release two of progressive music's most widely acclaimed and sought after EP's in 'Bird Cherry' and 'Abyss'. The two track offerings yielded play and support from his most revered contemporaries, namely Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. Resounding chart success followed, with the title selections respectively reaching #1 and #2 in the Beatport Progressive House Top 100 tracks. Now after months of road testing and refinement, Cid Inc. unveils his much anticipated 'Via Karelia' EP to kick off 2019.

With over a decade of production credits under his Cid Inc. moniker, Replug label boss Henri Hurtig has continued to flourish. Sitting in the upper echelon of progressive music's elite, the Finnish producer continues his story with 'Via Karelia'. Following a prelude of warm beats, hip swinging percussion and electric stabs, comes redolent rhythms and  juxtaposed motifs. Tastefully timeless and evolving with an energetic flair, it's a melodic theme which shifts the narrative further into euphoric territory. Free flowing harmonics add depth and emotion, coming to full fruition during the main break and elegantly peaking for a spirited final act.

Rounding out the release in fine fashion are the dreamy tech-vibes of 'Turning Pages'. Showcasing a similar rhythmic prowess to its predecessor, a tightly knit core and rugged stabs aim squarely for the dance floor, while an airy, atmospheric resonance delivers a subtle yet powerful emotional response. Irresistibly smooth and unquestionably evocative, it's seductive cadence pushes forward into an exquisite break, blanketed with glowing pads and iridescent phrasing, before ultimately melting down into a chugging finale.

In a year that has already provided progressive house fans with many memorable moments, Cid Inc. has once again stepped up and delivered what will certainly be one of 2019's most beloved releases in 'Via Karelia'.

Coming from a progressive hotbed like Buenos Aires, means the self-confessed audioholic Mariano has a steep hill to climb to be successful in this industry. Fortunately, he is made of sterner stuff, and is highly regarded by his peers. So it’ll come as no surprise his trademark smooth grooves are signed to a glittering array of high profile labels including Global Underground, Sudbeat and Plattenbank to name a few.

‘Astros’ is classic Mariano. Rolling bass and skippy percussions soon making way for muscular synths and glittering arps. Forever growing in tension, the break offers momentary respite before we’re whipped up into a frenzy with the main drop. On remix duties, fellow South American Blancah takes things deeper, more visceral and more deliberate. ‘Enamur’ on the flip is a more guttural groove. 'The latest release on Tash’s Movement Recordings welcomes Kenan Savrun back to the label for his first EP. The Turkish artist first appeared on the Greek imprint in January of this year with a remix of Gabriel Amato’s ‘Anthrax’. The Ankara resident has compiled an impressive resume since arriving on the progressive scene in 2019. Releases on Ziger’s Eat My Hat, Droid9 and Soundteller Records sit prominently in his discography, while his near two-decade long career as a DJ has seen him share the decks with Alex Niggemann, Eli and Fur, Andy Bros, Victor Ruiz and Oliver Huntemann. Now embarking on one of the most anticipated releases of his career, Kenan returns to Movement with ‘Luminosity’ alongside remixes from Highjacks and John Cosani. 

The lone interpretation of ‘Luminosity’ is provided by Highjacks who make their label debut. The Greek duo have been fixtures of their country’s nightlife for many years, playing many of Thessaloniki's best local venues such as Tokyo City Bar, Thermaikos, Piccadilly, Club Division, Club Vogue and The Real RockNRolla. Also an accomplished production team, the Highjacks discography boasts releases on Balkan Connection, Beat Boutique, ICONYC Noir and Stripped Recordings. Now making their first appearance on Movement, the Greek duo provide an inspired rendition of ‘Luminosity’. Backed by a tough, rolling groove the duo’s detailed drum work and electric rhythms quickly appease the senses. Cosmic effects add a flair for the dramatic while the lead theme continues to drive momentum forward. Clubsonica Records continues a strong start to the year by welcoming Paul Angelo and Don Argento back to the label for their first EP. Hailing from Cyprus, the much-loved duo first appeared on the Colombian imprint in 2019 with a remix of Armandhe's 'While The Wolf's Away'. June of 2020 then saw Paul and Don return with a chart-topping rendition of Etherwave's 'Pathfinder', before rounding the year out with well received releases via Movement Recordings, Timeless Moment and UV. Now getting 2020 underway in style, Paul and Don return to Clubsonica for their first original project entitled 'Astraeus'.

Getting the release underway and sitting as one of the duo's most infectious tracks to date is the title selection 'Astraeus'. Punchy beats and a tough, muscular groove set the foundation for a storyboard of fragmented arps, symphonic overlays and piercing stabs. Pushing a dramatic narrative, icy swells and percolating effects drift across the main break, gently teasing the senses before giving way to an energetic roll and groovy drop.

Renowned for their dark yet energetic sounds, Paul and Don diversify their portfolio further with the playful 'Dioptra'. Smooth and buoyant from the outset, the creation delights with its crunchy rhythms, placid pads and striking stabs. The narrative evolves with a spirited lead line adding bounce and drive as the main break approaches. Undeniably emotive, the centrepiece allows the joyous theme to breathe atop a foundation of sizzling effects and rolling drums, eventually reaching a classy crescendo as the beats drop for an exhilarating finale.

Putting on a stamp on the three-track showcase are the rippling grooves and astral arps of 'Hypnosis'. Aptly titled, the eight-minute journey brings you into a world of perfectly intertwined hypnotic themes. Positive and heady in equal measure, it's a collage of meditative arps, hopeful synth swells and otherworldly effects which captivate across the first movement. Melodic clusters expand the musical narrative during a timely break, gently washing over a cavernous underbelly, heightening the senses and ultimately closing the release out on a charming note. For a progressive music duo who already find themselves in the genre's upper tier, the 'Astraeus' collection not only further cements their place but expands their repertoire with three fascinating productions.
