Gel's production career exploded with Ovum almost 10 years ago with the iconic aforementioned Underground Bullshit EP. Since then he's established relationships with some of Ovum's most respected, progressive contemporaries  Defected, Mobilee, Get Physical, and Be As One.  Now the Israeli craftsman is back at his spiritual home with three of his biggest tracks in recent times.  

With a refreshing sense of contrast, "Optical" slaps hard from the off as a plucked riff springs from out of nowhere. A true drama-raiser that fluctuates back and forth, causing every other element from the kicks right the way up to the percussion to follow its tense pattern. Drop this and watch the panic unfold before your very eyes.

Hard to believe, but this is actually Olderic’s first solo EP on Connaisseur. After various collaborations, remixes and showcase participations, and as one of our radio show's hosts , the maestro from the CIRQ club near Venice has finally dropped a three-tracker all by himself on Connaisseur.

Straight up, you have definitely noticed at least one of the titles on "The Secret Chambers EP“ in any one set of our Italian family lately, as all tracks have a very prominent sound design you'll easily recognize after having heard them but once.

"Pyramid" is the peak time pleaser of the release, a proper 3am monster designed to create mayhem on the dancefloor. The touching "Hydre Intime“ will more likely find its place in the morning, while the dubby "Walking & Waiting“ is a genuine warm-up tune. A lovely package by a great artist.

Gesaffelstein's tracks have already received support from James Holden, Chloé, Damian Lazarus, and Laurent Garnier, to name a few, and this record is without a doubt his best yet. Every track on 'Variations' is a battle-tested bomb. 

His sound is clearly influenced by New Wave and the Gigolo-era electro (2001-2) of fellow Frenchmen The Hacker and David Carretta, but it sounds like a fresh update rather than pastiche, revitalized and refined down to a modern and versatile core. These tracks work in Tiga's festival sets alongside some of the summer's biggest anthems, yet are equally at home in a more underground setting, e.g. Von Party's 5am warm-up before Ivan Smagghe at a London warehouse party. 

The title track has the most attitude, establishing a palette of dark staccato basslines, crunching hi-hats, hands-in-the-air cowbells and trippy synth leads. “Selected Faces” and “Atmosphere” are arguably even more straightforward club weapons, their breakdowns creating just enough 'insanity' without getting annoying, their grooves dropping back in with a cool, restrained power that will win over hiss-weary DJs. 

With remixes upcoming for Turbo and Institubes, a follow-up EP for Turbo in the works... if you want an idea as to how big Gesaffelstein will get this year, just think of him as 'Brodinkelstein.'

Milan-based collective Just This are proud to present ​X​ - a compilation celebrating ten years at the outer reaches of ambient, melodic techno. Featuring contributions from Just This family and friends, the twenty-track release will be available July 10.

Since launching in 2010 as an event series, Just This has grown to function as a record label and collective governed by community spirit and a mutual interest in the more abstract spheres of techno. Having presented over thirty releases across a ten year period, they have worked with an extensive list of acclaimed artists at the vanguard of electronic music.

Following their success as one of the first parties in Italy to book more melodic strains of techno, the collective has retained a commitment to bringing abstract sonic explorations to a wider audience. As one of the first to host artists like Tale Of Us in Milan, the Just This parties expanded to curate events across Europe and beyond, bringing with them a number of artists whose careers have since skyrocketed.

With this compilation, they celebrate the wide range of aesthetic pursuits that have underscored their intentions from the start. Tense atmospherics and murky frequencies are offset with crystalline ambient wanderings and brief moments of euphoria. Spatial manipulations carve new sonic frontiers as the boundaries between psychedelia and lucidity blur into abstract forms. At times rough, at others meditative, the compilation is underscored by a shared aesthetic belief in the weird and wonderful.

X​ includes tracks from ​Hunter/Game, Mind Against, Extrawelt, Eduardo De La Calle, Alex Smoke, Sterac, Yotam Avni ​and​ Woo York,​ amongst many others, and functions as both a celebration of the collective, and a testament to the value of community and collaboration.

Considering these special times we are currently living in, we decided not to pause releasing during the summer months like we normally do. After our own single ‚Home‘, a collaborative effort between Delhia de France, Marino Canal and us, Edu Imbernon is stepping up to deliver the progressive driven, melodic 2-track ‚Luma EP‘. For the title track Edu joined forces with Nico Casal, a highly respected pianist and film composer from Spain, who among other works delivered the score for the Oscar winning short film ‚Stutterer' in 2016. 

‚Luma' is a powerful yet beautiful song that is taking its time before coming down to a long, emotional and melancholic break. This is where Nico & Edu’s composing and musical skills really show. We had almost ethereal moments while playing ‚Luma' in a perfect setting. 

‚Caliope' has a bit of the same structure. Long intro while introducing every element with patience and precision. Both tracks display Edu Imbernon’s current interpretation of contemporary electronic dance music for bigger audiences. The rumor says this wasn’t the last collaboration of these two very talented Spanish musicians.

This is the second installment around dubspeeka’s ambient album ‘Valley of The Kings’ to be released on March 19th. dubspeeka has released on the label several times over the last years, and we’re really excited to present his first LP on LNOE. The second single off the record titled Khepri is out on the 5th March alongside a remix by label boss Sasha.

‘Khepri’ reveals more about dubspeeka’s upcoming album, showing more of a deeper side to the record. The track gives a strong sense of space and the vocal cuts through like an angel in a big cavern. It’s a perfect little peak on the contrasts being displayed in the sonic character of the full record.

Sasha’s rework calibrates the track through a different realm by injecting a dance floor approach. The rework shows off the main qualities of the original perfectly while creating a totally different space of mind. Combining these qualities, the outcome very energetic and yet delicate in its melodical approach. This one is sure to raise some hands when the clubs open up!
