Bowl of Love (사랑의 그릇) was first written in 2003, when I was a teenager, as a birthday song for my mother. At the time, only the melody and structure existed — the lyrics were incomplete, shaped more by longing than by lived understanding.

Years later, after becoming a parent myself, I returned to this song with clearer eyes and a steadier heart. This version reflects a more honest and mature perspective — one that recognizes that love is not always expressed through grand gestures or dramatic moments, but through quiet, steady presence over time.

Rather than idealizing the past or holding onto sadness about not having a “perfect” parent, this song chooses a different posture. It honors love as it was actually given — within the limits of one person’s experiences, fears, wounds, and capacity.

“사랑의 그릇” is about understanding those limits, accepting them without denial or resentment, and recognizing that consistency itself can be a form of devotion. It is a song of reconciliation — one that acknowledges pain without assigning blame, and arrives at forgiveness, grace, and love.

Cerrero, navega entre las raíces del sonido colombiano y la producción dubera. En su segunda entrega, Cuando canto grito, parece atravesar cordilleras junto a la voz de Lucía Pulido, la poesía de María Paz Guerrero y la guitarra sutil de Juan Miguel Sosa, creando una atmósfera hipnótica y firmemente afincada en el poderío femenino de los Andes.

Sobre la historia detrás de este nuevo tema, Diego Gómez nos cuenta:
Cuando canto grito es la segunda parte de la colaboración con Lucía Pulido para Cerrero, mi proyecto en solitario. La letra es la adaptación del poema Las mujeres que cuando cantan de María Paz Guerrero, una gran amiga que ha dedicado su vida a la poesía. Aprovechando una corta visita de Lucía a Bogotá, nos reunimos en el estudio a grabar las voces sobre una idea de melodía sencilla que tenía a partir de unas guitarras que había grabado con Juan Miguel Sosa, un gran guitarrista de música popular colombiana. El resto fue subir las partes al sampler y darle forma con la consola. Lo repetitivo, la voz y la palabra, tres poderes.
En la imagen que acompaña a  Cuando canto grito, la artista bogotana Karolina Bebop nos sigue dando pistas sobre el enigmático universo que habita Cerrero, el más reciente proyecto de Llorona Records.

Cerrero´s sound blends colombian roots music with electronic aesthetics and dub production techniques. His second single, Cuando canto grito, presents powerful legendary Singer Lucía Pulido performing an adaptation of Las Mujeres que cuando cantan a poem by young colombian Poet María Paz Guerrero. The subtle and intimate guitar, sampled flutes and minimalistic percussion creates an hipnotic track that serves perfectly to the powerful words sung by Lucía. 
Cerrero, brainchild of Llorona Records´ Diego Gómez, keeps releasing previews of the upcoming EP in the making.
