Apocatastasis is reconstitution, restitution, or restoration to the original or primordial condition.  This short album is about the ebb and flow of creation.  With a capital C if you like.  For several frustrating years, I allowed myself to be coerced from my centre, to a place of sacrifice without end, nor reason, antipathy and chaos. It was rubbish. When I finally muttered "fuck this for a game of trousers" I was rewarded with what I experienced as divine providence. The other half of the universe clicking into its primordial condition.  And life did flourish, 
The opening 2 tracks, Heroic Dose and Danse Macabre took well over a decade to write.  Not that I did this consciously.  They started off as licks and riffs floating around inside my head, growing new parts, shedding old parts but never coming together completely. Then as my life came together, the tracks came together.  The riffs became the myths of the pantheon of my psyche. 
Waiting for Aida was written while I waited for the other half of the universe to give birth to our daughter.  
Ascending Ape is a sci-fi inspired soundscape, depicting the evolution of the man ape from tribe to faith to science to blasting off this rock to disappearing out beyond the known universe.  
Better Than the One We Haven't Got is a mantra of gratitude.  Need a tarp?  Can only find a tatty holy one?  Well it's better than the one we haven't got.  How about that job?  That car?  That partner?  That roof?  That food?  Repeat after me...
