Eddy M's timeline to the point of writing 'MTF' in capital letters shows conventional wisdom when the lure of the house that Jack built comes calling. A drummer in his youth and a graduate of Palermo's European school of Jazz, studying the ins and outs of piano, guitar and percussion, now has Wally Lopez, Matthias Tanzmann, Marco Carola and Kaiserdisco dishing out big ups for his dancefloor designs. He therefore slots nicely into the Clarisse schedule for release number 68, of deep beats with pistons gleaming, and minimalism with a mass of action going on. This is Eddy M, not EDM.

Since relocated from Sicily to Barcelona, Eddy M heads his own appropriately named Drumkit Records label, runs with the major players of the Elrow crew, and has his feet under the table at Space Ibiza following successive closing party slots. For 'MTF Beat' he adopts a buffalo stance with bass laid down large and on the low, precisely positioned trumpeters, scratches and samples coming at you from every corner of the arena. Perfect for when the combination of sun, sea and sand becomes the view from your window seat.

'Don't Stop' will become a personal best for those that treat clubbing like a marathon, running through the decades and showing bumpy vibes, rave klaxons and hip-hop attitude a clean pair of heels. More dancefloor confetti decorates a bottom end riding shotgun with energetic, reinforced beats that won't stop until sun up, and breakdowns that don't break stride guarantee the elevation of every limb. Man the fire extinguisher, because this one is hot.

The next artist to grace us with an EP on Roushlabel is the delightfully talented Davina Moss with her 'Like A Lion' release. Davina has been one of the leading ladies of Tech House for a considerable amount of time now, after a strong 2018 she is back swinging for the fences in 2019 with two huge original tracks. 'Like A Lion' opens the release with a buffed up persona, a strong choice for peak time grooves and loaded with bags of energy. Shuffled rhythm and robust drum work sit aloft a boisterous, groovy sub. The transitional segments of the track are melted into melody and then driven up through increasing energy with the aid of crystal clear risers and snare rolls, accompanied by a subtle level of vocal presence and delivering hard-hitting drops back into the main body of the mix. 'Until I Play' is the second and final tack on the EP. It runs a more stripped-back, yet pacey and underground line in comparison to its predecessor. Built with less punch in the drums but a wobbly, hysterical sub-line that commands all of your attention from the word go. Another high-energy track, laced with acid influence and outlandish vocal sampling, full of individuality and ready to turn some serious shapes on any dancefloor. French-native Malikk debuts on Hot Creations this December with the two- track Heu Como Bailar. The EP continues a busy 2020 that has seen him release on labels such as LouLou Records and Two Many Rules.

The title track sets the tone, with punchy kicks sitting alongside driving hats. An irresistible 4x4 groove acts as the backbone, before the infectious Heu Como Bailar vocal helps whip the beat along. Rounding things off is Got The Body, an unapologetic dancefloor cut that you can’t help but dance to.
