Für unsere #236 konnten wir niemand geringeren als die überaus sympathische Berlinerin Annett Gapstream gewinnen. Mit ihrem einzigartigen Stil, jeder Menge an Energie und groovigen Beats fernab des Trends hat sie uns schon lange um den Finger gewickelt. Zu Recht, wie wir und viele andere finden. 

Sie selbst beschreibt ihren überaus erfolgreichen Werdegang mit der Aussage, „From Berlin into the world.“ Ja das trifft es definitiv auf den Punkt. So bespielte sie nicht nur so gut wie jeden Berliner Club, sondern auch diverse Bühnen auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene. Nicht zu vergessen ihre unzähligen und überaus faszinierenden Auftritte auf dem Fusion Festival. Ganz nebenbei produziert sie auch Musik und hatte bisher Releases auf den bekannten Labels Stil Vor Talent, Rebellion der Träumer und Artminding.  
Ihr eingespielter Mix ist eine schöne Reise durch die weiten Welten der Hypnose. Mal düster und pulsierend, bindet sie nach und nach immer mehr Flächen ein, die zum Träumen einladen. Egal ob House oder Techno, alles ist dabei. Dabei hält sie gekonnt den Spagat zwischen Traum und Tanz. Eine Formel die süchtig macht. Dazu technisch und stilistisch stimmig fein abgemischt. Ein Genus und das ist untertrieben.

Musik, die wie gemalt ist für eine perfekte Afterhour.

Wir sind unglaublich froh dass wir Annett für unsere Reihe gewinnen konnten. Wir danken dir von Herzen für dieses bewusstseinserweiternde Set und deine Mühe diesen Podcast aufzunehmen. 

Anbei noch unser kleines Interview:

• Was sind deine musikalischen Einflüsse? Was ist dein musikalischer Hintergrund?
Meine wirklich prägenden musikalischen Einflüsse werden regelmäßig auf der Tanzfläche selbst kreiert. Einmal selbst unbeobachtet feiern gehen - und damit meine ich nicht noch zwei Stunden nach einem Gig irgendwo zwischen Backstage und DJ Pult abzuhängen - ist mir, ganz persönlich, 20 Mal mehr Wert als 10 Stunden auf Beatport, Spotify & Co zu verbringen und neue Releases zu hören. Als Ausgleich zur elektronischen Musik nehme ich seit ca. einem Jahr Klavierstunden. Die Gegensätze ziehen mich magisch an und finden sich auch immer wieder in meinen Sets wieder.

• Was macht deiner Meinung nach eine gute Afterhour aus?
Gleichgesinnte, eine coole oder gemütliche Atmosphäre, keine Handys und (tendenziell entspannte) Musik, die auch mal den gewöhnlichen Pfad und das Antizipative verlässt.

• Welche Gedanken magst du uns zu deinem Mix mit auf den Weg geben?

Hello my friends, I wish you all the best and health for the new year ❤. My best friend Bo Irion and I spent New Year's Eve at KaterBlau for the big Brain BBQ. Of course we didn't miss the chance to record this special set to share with you all. It was an indescribably great party at Acidbogen on Monday morning. Already at a very young age Mateusz Gajda began to feel the empathy for music in general. He felt the urge to translate his emotions and feelings into his own productions and sound creations.

As one of the founders of the 'We Change The Weather' collective based in Bremen and Berlin he  prescribed his life to music, organizing of events and to spread love through it.

He doesn’t want to commit himself to a specific genre. A diverse mix of deep house, tech house and cinematic sounds, to acid techno and experimental tools are his weapons of choice constantly aiming for new projects and productions.

His sound can be described as a driving force that stimulates the listener and leads to constant dancing as well as providing a emotional experience.

His expressive sets create a warmth atmosphere and are the soundtracks to the wild and abstract sides of life.
