Visions of Paraiso is the new label from Panøram, a fresh alias with serious creative intent from an accomplished producer. He has worked on various projects before, but recently took a step back to refocus on production, hone his vision, and refine his sound into something that collides a wide range of influences. After growing up around parental Pink Floyd, The Clash, and the Sex Pistols records, he fell for US house, speed garage, and trance from across Europe. For his own productions, he has a future-facing perspective and brings warm atmospheric darkness to this first new EP. The superb opener 'Visions (Original Drums Mix)' is six deeply alluring minutes of echoing guitar riﬀs and crisp, live-sounding drums that wouldn't sound out of place at an ALFOS party. There is a melancholic tone and alluring shadowiness to the atmosphere as vocal fragments and warbling acid add extra texture and keep you locked. '1.984 (Original 707 Mix)' is another slick drone beat with crisp hits and swirling distant pads that sketch out a dystopian world. Luminous pads and angelic coos rise to bring hope and light to what is a rugged but human biker-disco gem. 'Visions (Dub Desert Version)' closes out with more twang in the guitars and an extra focus on the vast bass kicks, which envelop you from below as gritty post-punk motifs and more sustained pads build a brilliant moodiness.

First track 'Organica', a collaboration with DJ and producer Heerhorst and Aves Volare showcases a new dimension of the artists’ style, with the low sung vocals sustaining the enchanting harmony of the main pads. It’s fairly easy to see how the entire album is aimed squarely at the dancefloor, with compelling slow burners like 'Dawn' or 'Verboten' ready to arrest any audience. Meanwhile, darker cuts like palpitation-inducing Hype or undulating roller Tehdite are meant to thrust the ambiance to the next level. Next up on Nico Stojan and Acid Pauli’s Ouïe label is the Tia EP by Cologne-based producer Jonathan Kaspar. 

Fitting perfectly into the label’s roster, as the 2018 predecessor Mera, this is three tracks of tricky, leftfield dance music that will appeal to the more adventurous electronic music aficionados.  

Lead track Tia is a brooding epic, unfolding in unexpected ways as the rougher edges give way to dreamy pads and a tight, loopy groove keeps things in motion. 

Bigna shares a similar aesthetic - an intricate percussive groove provides the foundation for some minimalistic synth explorations and textures. 

Elin rounds off the digital release, a slow burning heater with live percussion, thick bass and atmospheric pads and blasts of noise.
