Dirt Road Diary's Brand new single, Girl in a Bar! Inspired by the amazing Ashley McBryde, when guitairst Mark Allen saw Ashley playing an acoustic set at the C2C festival in London, this song was written on a napkin and Mark and Mat Cooper got to work creating Girl in a Bar. A tale of the truth of Country music and how true songwriters can convery their stories and imagery with nothing more than a guitar.

This is a Re-upload of my old Band State 6's 2014 Demo. Uploaded for posterity. I felt it was important that this be posted and here for as long as SoundCloud exists to comemorate guitarist Dave Boardman. 

Dave passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly in 2019. I believe this is one of the last examples of his work recorded and luckily I recently found this so it could be uploaded.

Dave was such an important part of my growth as a musician and artist and also helped teach me to play guitar. I felt this was a good way to remeber him and that he could live on, the sound of his guitar singing out for all time.
