@kurobake: Thanks. When I think about her theme in FF5, I think about how structurally similar it is to Theme of Love.. The bass, the chord progressions, etc. I tried not to use the idea too obviously at first and then realized I should just go for it, and I think it works well

An original song made in FFIV style obviously inspired by Theme of Love. Not playing out of a real SNES, but designed to sound like it is. I do my best to emulate FFIV's sound system via Impulse Tracker and clever use of a delay plug-in Will be used on my FFIV album when I finally get around to working on it in a few months when I am done another 8-bit project that I was actually contracted out to do.

Well, this is something a little different. I made this a while ago, but I'm putting it up here as the next file I'll be putting up matches the "style", of making one song sound like another.

This is Splash Hill Zone Act 1, from Sonic 4 Episode 1, made to sound like Emerald Hill Zone from Sonic 2. Uses the same instruments and song structure, just because I thought it'd work well with the tune.

While this is using VOPM and such to basically "emulate" the YM2612 and SN76496 chip feel to the song, it does conform to the limitation of music using them, and uses instruments designed for them (from the original Emerald Hill Zone track).

Had to re-upload these, since I devised a better filter for these tracks. anyway, here's the iconic Studiopolis, Act 1 in the Sonic Saturn style! Fun fact: I sampled this 80's show called "Standby... Lights, Camera, Action" for the "Lights, Camera, Action" sample. That's actually Leonard Nimoy!
