MATHIAS MORITZ

Born and Based in Berlin, he grews up surrounded by musicians. Thats why he learns that music is not only a sound that comes out of an radio. The biggest influence was his grandfather who was a drummer in a jazz band. His grandfather was his first idol and was a mainpart of his musicaly development. In the smart age of 12 he had his first contact with electronic music wich was dominated from Djs like Westbam, Kevin Saunderson, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Carl Cox, DJ Rush etc. It doesn`t take a while that he realized that electronic music, especially techno, is the right for him cause theres no other kind of music which have this pure energie, diversity and rulebreaking character. After endless parties and festivals he decided to spend all the money he had to buy his first mixer and turntables. He was so fascinated from this Dj Culture that he wanted to learn these skills he had seen all the time. After gathering loads of vinyl he gets his chance to present what he learns in the basement of his parents house. Clubs like Tresor, Maria am Ostbahnhof, Pulp Mansion, RAW Tempel, Glashaus etc. and a lot of clubs throughout germany under different artistnames where used to find his musically middle. After some time he realized that djing is not enough to show the people whats up in his musically mind. He starts to get his first experiences with studio gear and digital audio workstations. Known as a very ambitious guy he builds his first beats and synths night by night. After lots of those nights he started to finish his first tracks. Occasionally he trys these productions in his sets to find out how others react on them. He hardly develops his style all the time cause he never stands still with his musically mind. They ́re so much possibilities in music that he can ́t decide to like only one style. Mainly melodic, deep, full of pressure or
even both, thats what his style is about.
