Matthew Herbert, Rolando, Rick Wade and DJ Sneak. That's just a bundle of names who've released on UK house label Hudd Traxx since Slum Science (Eddie Leader, Danny White and Dan Ruck) sparked it into life in 2005.

Huddersfield-based (the clue's in the name, really), the label's synonymous with fresh-flavoured jams geared towards the dancefloor, while its mix series on SoundCloud, Huddcast, guarantees you'll be frantically trying to hunt down track IDs.

Octave One "Untold" Mix 1

There's not really much else to say about this one. The names dropped in the title alone lets your ears know what they're in store for.

Detroit's Burden brothers, more commonly known as Octave One, have been making classic techno from their roots since 1990 – and, much to our pleasure, have continued to produce, DJ and play sensational live sets as though no time has passed. 25 years on, their music still fuels the dancefloors of 2nd gen. techno lovers, as well as being picked up and reworked by modern dance music's most valuable players –  of which Paul Woolford is most certainly one.

When asked about his "Lose Myself" rework, Paul shared that Octave One and their 430 West label "have been inspirations to me for so many years. We met through mutual friends and immediately connected, following various gigs together globally. It was an honour to be invited to work on something for the Detroit label. My intention was to bring out the soulful edge of Octave One's sound and place it within the framework of a track that would work towards the end of the night." After about 6 years of being exclusive to this group of hand picked DJs, I finally decided to share it with you all. Next up on Violet's Portuguese music label @naivetrax, Eris Drew and Octo Octa have teamed up for a rousing split EP, titled 'Devotion'.

According to the press release, 'Devotion' was "written in the weeks immediately before and after a special time the girls spent together in February of 2018, when Maya (Octo Octa) went to heaven and Eris Drew accessed the realm of the Motherbeat from a port deep inside."

Ahead of the EP's release on October 26, Octo Octa has shared 'Beam Me Up' (Goddess Mix). Filled with her lush signature synth sounds, the frenetic breaks and percussion in the track swarm around her gentle melody like hard-working bees trying to please their queen (or goddess for that matter).
