Mikey V is a producer, DJ and vocalist from Los Angeles, California who has been a staple in the West Coast underground house scene since the early 2000's. While throwing LA's HAWT underground parties, Mikey signed his first 3 EP's to Luke Solomon & Derrick Carter's Classic Music Company in 2013. He has compiled a versatile discography of productions and vocal releases on labels such as Classic Music Company, Paradise, Robsoul, DFTD,  Snatch!, Hot Creations, Toolroom, Strictly Rhythm & Dirtybird.
Mikey has also collaborated with industry heavyweights such as Riva Starr, Oliver Dollar, DJ Sneak, Phil Weeks, Blakkat, Wheats, Brett Johnson & Nathan Barato.

Baltimore house music icon Teddy Douglas drops a 60 minute mix for 5 Mag in celebration of his new album, "I'm Here."

@teddy-douglas-official has left a deep and indelible mark on house music in America and worldwide from his records with The Basement Boys and Jasper Street Co. — one of the creators of the Baltimore house sound that changed club music forever. Teddy Douglas's new album, I'm Here, debuts this month on Nervous Records and features collaborations with an array of outstanding artists, including Ultra Nate, Fast Eddie, Sipho and more. 

"The tunes featured on my new Mix for 5 Magazine are some hot new jams I’m feeling at the moment," Douglas tells 5 Mag, "and also some of my exclusive remixes, such as the classic Joe Smooth’ I'm Not Giving Up’ and Spencer Morales  ‘Without Love’ (Teddy Douglas Tedd Patterson Edit). The mix also features some brand new tunes from my first solo LP ‘I'm Here’, which has just been released on Nervous Records, including ‘Star In the Ghetto’ featuring Buckshot from Blackmoon, ‘Tonight’ featuring Richard Farrell and legendary Ultra Nate’s collaboration with me on ‘Searching (For Your Love)’. One of my favourite personal dance floor cuts at the moment, is my collaboration with Hip House legend Fast Eddie with ‘House Music’, which is already being hammered by Louie Vega in his DJ sets. My hour was one of those unpredictable affairs when I’d just bought a load of music and was playing exclusively from that - a bucket of assorted tracks that were new to me, although not necessarily new new. Big basslines gave way to cosmic chug, and it mostly hung together surprisingly well! 
Hour 2 was a really fun new mix from Flick C, who recently did a mix for my Funkier Sessions series and has now returned for a radio slot. Big, big tunes in this one - from Jamiroquai to Sophie Ellis-Bextor, pumped up versions of Curtis Mayfield and Michael McDonald and a whole lot more, you’re in for a high energy hour!

DJ Mathis ”Mega M.” Rousseau was born and raised in the great city of Chicago.
    His love of Housemusic began when he heard mixes on the radio in the mid 80’s. In the late 80’s and early 90’s while living in Harvey, Illinois, he started spinning. In ’92 he moved to Evanston, Illinois that is where he improved his skills on the 1’s and 2’s. After which, he started making mixtapes and doing Houseparties in ’93. By 1997 and 1998, Dj Mathis “Mega M.” Rousseau had two residencies. His first was at the “The Stuff Lounge” in Chicago Heights, Illinois on Tuesday nights and his second was at Biddy Mulligans’ on the northside of Chicago on Thursday nights. 
After an eleven-year break, in 2010 DJ Mathis “Mega M.” Rousseau emerged back on the House scene with a vengeance. He has had sets at Smartbar, Primary, Evil Olive, Grandbar, Castle, DoorNo.3, Swig, Crocodile Lounge, Xippo, Exit, Zhou B. Art Center, Lokal, Output Lounge, Sub-T, The Celebrity Lounge, DHS, MLounge, Elbo Room, and Parlour. He has worked with over 30 well-known Chicago and some internationally known House DJs’.He also has played at the 2013 Winter Music Conference in Miami and Chicago's House of Sol 2013. DJ Mathis “Mega M.” Rousseau brings energy, excitement and exuberance to any dance floor. He is a legend in the making!
