Mind over MIDI a.k.a. Helge Tømmervåg is from Kristiansund on the north-west coast of Norway. He has been working with electronic music since the beginning of the 80's, first as a member of synth-pop band ToC, and later as Mind over MIDI. 

His early works was in the british experimental style, drawing inspiration from µ-ziq, Autechre and Aphex Twin. He then evolved into more minimal soundscapes inspired by a.o. Richie Hawtin/Plastikman and Mauritzio/Basic Channel, mixing this minimalistic approach with an "arctic" ambience and feel, inspired by a.o. Biosphere. 

With releases on labels such as Silent Season, Shimmering Moods, Rohs! and Beatservice in the early days. He has also contributed a short record to Hibernate Recs charity series and Whitelabrecs Home Diaries series.

The Meditations various artists compilation continues its exploration into sounds with exclusive tracks for this compilation series.
