The Muhammediyya is a ode written and composed by Imam Sharaf Ad-Din Al-Busiri. 

Born in Egypt in 696/1212 and of Moroccan heritage, he was a profound poet, with an intense love for the Messenger of God (S). His works are timeless and are still sung today throughout the Muslim world.

The Burda (Poem of the Cloak) is also called ‘Celestial Lights in Praise of the Best of Creation’ and was written by Imam Busiri as a channel to gain nearness to the Prophet Muhammed (S). It is his most famous work and some regard it as his best. 

The Muhammediyya is a shorter poem compared to the Mudariyya/Hamziyya and is a beautiful expression of the noble qualities of The Most Noble (S). 

We Ask Allah Azowajal to help us embody and emulate the perfected character of Mustafa Muhammed. Ameen.

Muhammed ﷴ ﷴ Noblest of the Arabs and the non-Arabs 
Muhammed ﷴ ﷴ Best of all those who walk upon two feet 
Muhammed ﷴ ﷴ Most expansive giver of all good things 
Muhammed ﷴ ﷴ The master of excellence and generosity 
Muhammed ﷴ ﷴ Crown of the Messengers of God without exception
Muhammed ﷴ ﷴ In speech and word the one most true
Muhammed ﷴ ﷴ Utterly reliable in keeping trusts 
Muhammed ﷴ ﷴ Whose character and qualities are excellent indeed
Muhammed ﷴ ﷴ His substance watered by light
Muhammed ﷴ ﷴ A light still shining from before eternity
Muhammed ﷴ ﷴ Fair and wise in judgement, the noble one
Muhammed ﷴ ﷴ Source of kindness and wisdom.
