I wanted to make a remix of two  incredible songs that helped me through hard times at high school. The flow that biggie delievered always kept me up when I was buried in boring assignments. "I Tried" is a song with a lot of emotion and a lot of good tones, and together with Can I Get Witcha I hope you get a feeling of spring mixed with melodic disco and funk.

Summer is approaching fast and therefore it was desirable to take up the tempo to 128 bpm. make it a little sexier with the help of the catchy vocals, and create a good atmosphere! Feel the Vibe!;)

My inspiration for this single is a mixture between old school rhythms combined with a chill tropical flavor. When I created the track I wanted to bring Jamaican vibes together with rap vibes and ended up doing a collaboration together with Popcaan & Wale. It's funny how big a difference one person can have on your life. I'll never forget the first time I heard Biggie, my big brother Dan played me Ready To Die and I never heard anything like it. I couldn't understand the words or the stories but I could feel them, his flow, the vibe, it changed me. A few years ago, with nothing but this same respect and love for such a legend, I took a Biggie acapella from YouTube and made "Old Thing Back" with my own inspirations, in my bedroom in Trondheim, mixed with just one speaker! Yesterday I just found out it achieved GOLD sales in America. The impact that this great man has had on me not only with the music that fueled me as a teenager but to this insane achievement in the beginning of my career, words can't describe. A couple months ago I got in touch with another legend Faith Evans and asked to put this collaboration together to celebrate Biggie's birthday. Her and her team are amazing, her voice and vibe is incredible, and now I'm honoured to share a song with her, the one and only Snoop Dogg and the legend who changed my life, like I think he changed so many lives, and to who I am always grateful.
