James Pepper - CLUB TRAX VOL 1. [EP]

Sydney club-kid James Pepper has delivered his first instalment of CLUB TRAX, featuring 4 house-heavy originals which are ready and designated for dance floors. 

James’ first instalment of Club Trax sees him introduce 4 driving house cuts - full of power,  warmth and euphoria, giving us an insight into the inspirations that have surrounded JP’s upbringing within the dance music community. Through using his “less is more” approach, we are enriched by four tracks that are hosted by simple yet effective elements that make up a powerful EP full of club originals, which are suitable to be played on large systems in big dance-halls, as well as within the smaller-scale, intimate environments.

The epitome of James’s introduction to the world of dance music came after he unleashed his club-hit Three Drops during the broadcasting of his debut Boiler Room in his home-town, Sydney. Co-written by Black Loops, James would return to his home away from home and visit his old friend Black Loops (Riccardo) in Berlin, where he would begin writing his Club Trax EP. James would begin the creative process Riccardo’s studio while he was away touring throughout the European summer. James began to fall in love with the studio’s  hardware offerings, and in particular - Riccardo’s Roland MC909. The prominent early 2000s groovebox would become the centre piece of production work that makes up the Club Trax EP. 

After returning home to Sydney, JP’s first order of business was to purchase a second hand MC909 from Japan, and begin finishing what he has started in Berlin. With tracks Zwarte Pad & Praise You being an ode to the sound he holds dearest, James attempted to recreate the prominent 90s club-record sound, whilst also offering his own input in the process. 

The remainder of the EP sees tracks Residential Advisor & EVERYONE I LOVE give us an insight into a more new-school era, potentially alluding us to where James could be heading next - whilst also keeping it true to this heavily referenced 90s sound. 


After understanding JPs love for dance music and the influences that got him to where he is today, it will be exciting to hear and see the reactions of this club-record on dance-floors across the world. No frills, just straight forward dance classics & driving house hits, as James Pepper delivers his first instalment of CLUB TRAX VOLUME ONE.

Bubbling beneath the surface of Japan's emerging underground scenes, Osaka-based artist Paperkraft (@pprkrft) has passionately developed his craft, immersing himself in the culture and championing a new wave of Japanese artists. With the rise of genres like UKG & bass in neighboring cities like Kyoto - it's the progressive and house movement Paperkraft is concerned about. Although more niche in his native city, developing a sustainable scene and championing the sounds he loves is the ultimate goal. 

First introduced to HOMAGE through friend and breakthrough producer Stones Taro, Paperkraft referenced releases like Aldonna's (@aldonna) Morph EP as the catalyst to send his demos, and who subsequently remixed 'Ok Corral'. The Melbourne-based producer has since toured frequently both in Europe and in her home country of Australia; continuing to put her stamp on the underground and lending her expertise to remixes for the likes of Benjamin Fröhlich and Rosa Red. 

Inspired by sounds from the 90 - 00's, and essential to the overall essence of his music, Paperkraft blends the old with the new. This duality can be found in the opening track 'The Amazing Spaceman' where liquid drums foam over contemporary sound design. 'Dizzy Disk' kicks things up a notch, holding on to that same old-school-new-school duality with an extra dose of dopamine for good measure. Manchester's Aiden Francis (@aidenfrancis) lends his signature sound to the remix, with elements of breakbeat, trance, and electro, showing why labels and clubgoers rate him so highly. 

Breakthrough tracks' like Papekrafts' 'Dimple' which was released by HearThug's Are You Alien label gathered large support and made a special appearance on Manami's Boiler Room Debut; laying the foundations for tracks like 'Ok Corral' to take shape. The infectious vocal sample coupled with jam-like riffs gives off the vibe that it was done in one take in an act of pure enthusiasm, with that same energy lending itself to the dancefloor. Aldonna's remix adds a Balearic and emotive touch, while 'Stella' rounds off the EP with a left-leaning cut perfect for low-capacity clubs and sweaty, dimly-lighted rooms.

PREMIERE: Paperkraft - OK Corral [HOMAGE]

Mister T. records is back with a new electrifying sonic voyage with Tourman, the crazy productive producer and DJ from the vibrant city of Vilnius, Lithuania. After “Gravitone” a first freebie released for christmas 2023, MTT records and @Tourmanvibes are teaming up again for 5 new tracks.

Set to release on the 20th of March, “La Voir Partir” comprise 3 original tracks, one acid mix and a remix by another great Lithuanian artist, famous for the MTT family, “Black Feeling” who already contributed to the label with on the italo compilation released in 2023.
The 5 tracks complete each other on a great tribute to 90s house grooves, with vocals, samples and atmosphere reminding the best years of rave culture and fast house tracks inspired by soft techno and trance anthems.

The EP opens with “Sentimental”, where Tourman worked with Aureja’s (@aurejadiscjockey) vocals to recreate the genuine raw energy of rave / prog house.
On “La Voir Partir”, Tourman continues the exploration of the underground speed house scene with a bit of aerial pads and piano stabs for a more melodic dancefloor killer.
Finally comes “Underfluencer”, a powerful tool oscillating between raw house beats, breakbeats, drops and sweet leads.

Influenced by euro-house, trance and 90s house and with seven years of experience in the music industry and a repertoire that includes releases on esteemed labels such as 39 Records, Whoyostro, and Hungarian Hot Wax, with “La Voir Partir”, Tourman will definitly become a name to be reckoned in the underground house scene.
