Making of Cyborg (Analog Version)

A raga, in classical indian music, is a set of (tuning, scale, rhythm and motif) rules over which a freeform piece is performed, commonly including a drone, rhythm and melodic instruments.

Raga Nasca is an interpretation of this concept, which includes part of the tuning system based on the sounds provided by a Nasca culture pan flute, supplied by Caral Electrónica's Nasca 1 compilation curator. This piece is the sum of different elements and modern sound design techniques such as: subtractive, additive and granular synthesis, the use of melodic and rhythmic sequences generated by algorithmic and stochastic systems and the use of a pentatonic scale with a tuning based on the aforementioned material, thus rediscovering a musical type and  use estimated to remain hidden for several centuries.

Un raga, en la música clásica de la India, es un conjunto de reglas (afinación, escalas, ritmos y motivos) sobre el cual se realiza una pieza de interpretación libre, normalmente incluyendo instrumentos de pedal (drone), ritmos y melodía.

Raga Nasca es una interpretación de este concepto, que incluye una parte del sistema de afinación basado en los sonidos provistos por una antara perteneciente a la cultura Nasca, que fueron facilitados por el curador del compilado Nasca 1 de Caral Electrónica. En esta pieza se suman distintos elementos y técnicas de diseño sonoro moderno como la síntesis sustractiva, aditiva y granular, el uso de secuencias tanto melódicas como rítmicas basadas en sistemas estocásticos y algorítmicos; y el uso de una escala pentatónica afinada en razón al material anteriormente mencionado, redescubriendo así un tipo y uso musical que se estima quedó oculto por varios siglos.
