I discovered Soundcloud in 2011 and uploaded my first song, a cover recording playing all the instruments myself. Over the years we became a community that also recorded various covers, often interpretations of the Beatles. 

I became friends with like-minded people all over the world: England, Germany, Poland, Japan, USA and Canada. We helped each other with vocal overlays and guitar solos. 

But now copywright rules seem to stop this and threats are coming from Soundcloud to close my account. I have never made money from my covers and think it is unfair.

If you are talented enough to write your own material, you can post it on Spotify. The point of using Soundcloud was that you could actually make your own cover recordings and compete with each other.

But that time seems to be over, because I am now waiting for my third warning and then my account will be closed. I have nothing else but covers. So thank you all friends for this time, you listened 133,496 times to my recordings. Mats.
