This is a live recording for Virtual Burning Man 2021. Completely selected on the fly. 

This curation is something different for me. Yet, it embodies well my ongoing curiosities. Most of this music is influenced by the strongly emerging Amapiano/Gqom/Afrobeat culture we are witnessing at this time. The novel grooves, rhythm complexities, staccato, syncopated punchiness, raw power and fire inducing feelings; Take notice, this is a strong movement.

Afterglow

11 years after, I finally located the recording on my Diversity Festival 2012.
Even tho I had been Djing for a few years already, this set was an anchor point, a catalyst, a place where I felt propelled from and into this world of music curation. I felt recognized and seen. 
This set was nearly 4 hours long but I was only able to record this portion. 
My mixing wasn't at it's top but I think the selection was a good morning psychedelic blend.

Ambient Odyssey 2.0

Set played live at a private event on Salt Spring Island. 2am-3am. 
The type of selection I rarely share but this one felt so good and transcending that it feels right to put it out. Played on Pioneer RX3 and while you might not know that I'm now fully playing on CDJS, I'm still getting warmed to this new system and loving the edge and playability it offers. Still getting used to improvising with loops and effects and I think this set reflects where I'm at. 

Lots of freshly collected tunes while I also went picking in some old fav dubstep and some global infused tracks. Lots of mood in this one. ~ Hope you enjoy~ Would love to know what you think~

Played this set from 11:20-12:30 , after The Tailor and before Hakuu. Along Sinerise, Goopsteppa and local favourite Leland Riiivr. Stellar music all night. Most vibey party been to in awhile.

Created an arch of mood, space and momentum to spark up and ease the night in.

Live recording of my set played at Crystal Creek Gathering in August 2019.  
The intention was of a sound installation with focus on layering multi genre in a less than linear way. Elusively time tracking as movements appears only to satisfy briefly and evaporates to leave a space of void allowing us to feel what is present when disorientation and a certain unsettling silence sets in.
