A name becoming synonymous with quality underground releases on well-respected imprints, Matt Arnold is starting to turn the heads of music lovers globally. His Black Seven Music debut EP 'No One Else' makes a bold statement of quality, spread across two club-geared tracks.

'No One Else' opens the release with signature BSM flavours. Percussively-driven with punchy drums, creative fills and a gripping sub bassline. Beyond the ripple of rhythm, its bright melodies and elegant vocals create an uplifting aura - picking you up before you're tossed back into the groove once more.

'Married Man' completes the EP with more deep and sensual tones. Stripped-back beats bounce off a rhythmic sub-bass whilst pads and strings glide over the top, accompanied by another sultry vocal topline. An ultimately subterranean affair, primed for late-night sets and dark spaces.

Medellin-based duo Dem Boyz return to Unnamed & Unknown with another profound three-track EP titled ‘Zig Zag’.

With releases on Kubbo Records, High Quality, SexAppeal and XtraTrax, Colombian DJ/Producer duo Dem Boyz are back on Unnamed & Unknown with another impressive offering. Spanning three freshly-squeezed dancefloor weapons, their ‘Zig Zag’ EP blends the label’s signature sonics with their unique South American flair from start to finish.

Opening with the title cut, ‘Zig Zag’ thrusts you into upbeat drums and fizzing percussion alongside a catchy rhythmic sub-bass melody. Its catchy vocal hook brings the track to life with unique character, cutting through playful fills and atmospheric FX that give it an endlessly rolling terrace feel. 

‘Pirouletta’ comes next, bringing more undulating grooves and driving cadence from the outset. Rippling percussive layers create a tidal swing in the mix whilst a swirling vocal hook floats the track through several quirky, atmospheric breaks and thumping drops.

‘Dew Shake’ closes the release with more pulsating movement and low-frequency potency throughout. Building around another looping vox and creative tonal percussive fills, the tracks focus on flamboyant instrumentality and funky melodies make the perfect partner for its core of groovy nuances.

Spaniards Gustaff & Hector Diez join forces on Unnamed & Unknown for their ‘I Got The Groove’ EP.

A duo of Spanish talent mark the next release on Portuguese imprint Unnamed & Unknown as Gustaff & Hector Diez combine to deliver an impressive four-tracker titled ‘I Got The Groove’. The release comes with several individual productions alongside the collaborative title cut, showcasing a captivating exhibition of underground tech house flavours from start to finish. 

Kicking off with the lead track, ‘I Got The Groove’ jumps straight into an energetic display of percussive-focused rhythms and playful twists in its arrangement. The track builds around expanding textures and climatic builds, complemented by an onslaught of pulsating sub-bass, cleverly placed vox chops and subtle tonal features. 

Diez rides solo on the following two tracks, beginning on ‘Get Down’ with its immersive undulating drum grooves, massive low-end drive and catchy vocal hook before moving on to ‘Start It Up’, adding more swing, endless cadence and summertime-laced melodic elements throughout. 

Gustaff closes the release with ‘Zona Rosa’, delivering a clean-cut terrace roller with punchy drums and a rich tapestry of intricate percussive movement. Another track with a sun-kissed feel, layered with funky licks and huge drops.
