Matamoros was a short lived 'rock' duo out of Brooklyn that self destructed after the two sole members got into a fist fight on Delancy street. No hard feelings though cause shortly thereafter the drummer/vocalist went off and started a family while the singer/songwriter moved upstate and got married. All's well that ends well!

This was one of my favorite seedling jams of my second attempt at inventing the sound I call "Jazzcore". The the trio was Laughing Man (1998) based in SF consisting of myself on Sax, Brett Cline on Baritone guitar and Jesse Randell on drums. We never played out but that's fine, the revolution was in our heads anyway...
