This is a track I finished for an upcoming project, full of magic, mystery and malevolence but there's also some playfulness and beauty here. The counterbalance between allure and dread are key to portraying the mythic mistress of malign magicks, Morgan Le Fay. 

Morgan Le Fay

This is a track I composed for an upcoming project but I wanted to share it here as well. There's a gothic sensibility to this horror theme that feels ancient and frightening but not oppressive or too self-serious. After all, we wouldn't keep watching horror films if they weren't such bloody good fun. 

Journey Into Fear

I adapted some music I'd worked on for a YouTube short film into a long-form concert-style piece that became "Strange Worlds of Tomorrow." The director's vision for the music was for something in the vein of "The Day the Earth Stood Still" by Bernard Herrmann, which was a great jumping off point to go into all kinds of space-operatic directions. There's a retro sensibility to the piece, which is unavoidable when you get a theremin involved, but the story had enough elements to give the proceedings a lot of variety. You'll hear moments of heroism, adventure, romance, and despair here, all framed within a retro-futuristic space-opera aesthetic.

Strange Worlds of Tomorrow

Matt Harvey is a veteran of the underground Metal scene, spending decades recording and touring with his bands Exhumed, Gruesome, Left to Die and Dekapitator, among others. He’s also a composer who’s using SoundCloud to present epic, orchestral and evocative pieces that showcase his range, depth and passion for composition.
