Notable up and coming producer from South Africa Collen Cohen returns to Dopewax with his signature trippy synth sounds in hand. His 2016 debut Apollo EP was embraced by tribal, techno and deep djs alike and his latest effort, Rosaline EP, is a further testament to his quality production style. The first few tracks, Hannibal, With You, Lost Vagueness are chock full of deep moody cinematic dreamscapes that you just want to get lost in. The project takes a couple of harder turns but never loses its cool, retaining its 115BPM ez flow techno with Black Snow and Fallen Tree, that make you want to carve a fresh groove on the dance floor. With 7 diverse tracks this is more of a mini album than an EP. All the better to get fully immersed into this collection of neck-nodding digital works.
