The "Shampoo Art Song" draws its text from the ingredients list of my everyday shampoo. It was an exercise in text setting, as well as creating momentum and drama through loosely structured nonsense. Premiere performance by vocalist Eddie Spear and pianist Hannah Mohr, 30 April 2022, Rosch Recital Hall.

Hydroxypropyltrimonium

Composed in March of 2019 per the request of Emmanuel Sikora, "Nocturne in Ab" is a piece for solo piano. Drawing inspiration from the works of Frédéric Chopin, it seeks to present a light and melodic atmosphere which is reminiscent of a nighttime scene. This is the world premiere performance, recorded during the fifth student composer's concert in Fredonia's Rosch Recital Hall, Spring 2019.

Recorded on the 25th of August, 2020 from the third floor of University Commons in Fredonia, NY using a Rode NTG3 Microphone.

Fredonia Thunderstorm

Event Horizon, composed in Fall of 2019, is a work for Solo Organ which traces the life cycle of a star. It opens with a massive depiction of the big bang before following the growth of a star over millions of years and its eventual collapse into a black hole.

Event Horizon

"Overwhelmed," a work for solo flute, was completed in January of 2020. The piece derives its content from a twelve tone row, root line, and supporting harmonic texture. Over the course of the piece, the flute presents each of these elements independently before desperately attempting to describe the relationship between them. Due to the instrument’s limitations in a solo context, it ultimately fails to depict the wealth of content as the piece rises through overwhelming and exasperated periods of excitement and disappointment.
