A song inspired by a man I met who came out of the closet late in life and lost his family for it. It is meant to be from his ex-wife's perspective.  I'm not sure I got the empathy for him that I wanted, but I do like the song.

I was reading the first part of Cloud Atlas this morning, in it there is a description of a tribe that had a strict "thou shall not kill" policy, which in colonial times meant their destruction. At the same time people are being awful to each other all around the globe. Hence, this song, I guess.

A song asking what you might do differently if you knew exactly how long until your death. Sounds morbid, but meant to be inspirational.

Another song inspired by the idea that wisdom always arrives too late. I also wanted to use the "Gather 'round me people" form of Ballad that Dylan mentioned in his Grammy speech.

The Man Who Will Never Learn

A song about moving on I think. I wrote it in one big chunk a short while ago - one of those "gift from the gods" kind of songs. I haven't ever spent as much time mixing as I did for this one. Hope you like it.

A Valentine's day song for my wife.  It has been tough as teachers through Covid and this all came out in one big gush.  It is not perfect, I quickly added a bass line and that's about it.
