So the inspiration came from this beautiful & deep pop song that you might know.
We modified the vibe of this track into the sound that we envision for an Everybody's Free update.

We deleted a lot of tracks from the first sketch of the track and stripped it down to the bones.
It felt a bit like tuning a car - and we hope that you will smile after this test drive.

Even though the world is burning (like...literally!) and there is a genocide in Gaza and Sudan going on and we are still living in old structures made to exploite some for the sake of (very few) others, it’s still important (or maybe now more than ever) to bring some art into the world...

This release is indeed a release and it is about letting go of old stuff and making space for new ideas. „Venus Versus“ is an old composition and I always wanted to release it, but it never made it into mastering until the last days of the last years, when I found it on my soundcloud sketchbook. Here it is finally.

Faded Memory

I had a lot of train journeys recently and I love watching the wires seemingly dance around outside the window. I wondered if we could be getting fooled by a similar process during our usual experience of movement and time, and thought it would be an interesting project for a music video set to the music created during the same journeys.

For the music I wanted to bring ideas of frozen moments of the past into play, and no better excuse to get stuck in with the Prophet 6 on some lush classic analogue synth sounds for the main chord sequence, and plenty of nob noodling for a dance of modulating sounds around the main sequence. I wanted to keep it fairly sparse to let the chord patch be central, and just focus on trying to make every element, including the percussion, warp a little, so you can either listen to the track from a distance and hear the harmonic ideas, or delve in to find all sorts more hiding in there.
