Big Things is Preston's illest hiphop boogaloo.
Established in 2007, we play the finest hiphop around... music for the mature B-boy & B-girl. We're all about alternative hiphop, classic rap, funk & soul, g-funk & those all-important party jams from the 80s & 90s right up to the present day.

Laying down the flame-grilled beats will be Big Things resident DJs FRESHMATIC, MATT3R, SUNDHOLM + DAWB-Z, plus our very special guests TOM BOOGIZM, SIMBA, TOOPS + BREADMAN... a fine selection of experienced disc jockeys, crate diggers & hiphop heads.

Grab yourself a burger from the grill and kick back with a beer, or dust off the old rocksteady b-boy moves out on the floor (bring your own lino).

Having cut his teeth as an all guns blazing drum n bass DJ and hip hop turntablist, Matt3r’s DJing prowess has continued to stretch across house, electro, juke, techno, garage… we could go on. He's played alongside the likes of Zinc, Rob Da Bank, Whitey & Lowqui, DJ Yoda, Marcus Intalex, the Psychonauts, the Unabombers, Fingathing and DJ Cro (the Main Ingredient Radio Show). Now an integral member of Preston’s hip hop hoedown Big Things, Matt3r continues to show the kind of DJing dexterity that is rarely matched. His mixes characteristically combine everything from the Chicagoan footwork of Rashad (RIP) and Spinn to Machinedrum and Mark Pritchard, via the tough underground UK lyricism of Cappo, Jehst & Chester P, with plenty of curveballs thrown in there for good measure.
