After his sold out LP "Salz" and an extensive tour in Europe, L.F.T. aka Johannes Haas is back on Mannequin Records with a brand new 6-tracks EP  "Hollow Head".

Blessed by the vocal features of Rosaceae ( the bloodthirsty breaktbeat 'I Want To Be A Witch'), Nils Fock (the banging wave 'Hörst Du Das') and Petra Flurr (EBM anthem 'Panzer Tanz'), L.F.T. music evokes a urge of dancing while simultaneously embracing a DIY aesthetic, creating a sonic universe where past, present, and future converge. 

The Hacker aka Michel Amato, a long time collaborator of Mannequin Records, is joining the pack with his interpretation of 'Panzer Tanz', turning the track into a straight techno banger.

L.F.T. is a visionary artist who takes listeners on a mesmerizing journey through a sonic landscape that fuses elements of electro and new wave aesthetics.

Ловите наш новый выпуск в формате “лоскутного одеяла”, потому что треки подобрались очень разные как по стилю и форме (от world-music, idm, ambient до техно, эйсида и джангла), так и по настроению. Несмотря на это они хорошо улеглись в треклист. Имена не такие монументальные как в прошлом выпуске, но многих вы так или иначе у нас слышали, а если это новички - так мы сами уже взяли их на карандаш.

Welcome to the first human-built station outside our solar system. We confirm the existence of traces of unidentified living beings discovered by the previous Alien Quest operation, much of which converges around a cavern whose interior seems to be paved with a strange crystal.

“Hello everyone, Radion here! I've never worked so hard to produce these two pieces of music. I must have done a good hundred versions of Crystal Cavern, not far for Discovery. I thought about abandoning them, but I finally settled on these two versions. Crystal Cavern is an important testimony for me to the complexity and distortion this piece went through (and how it affected me humanly). Discovery was just as complex, but here's a stripped-down yet organic electro version (well, I tried). The biggest challenge for me as a producer now is to make tracks that are much simpler, yet as lively as possible, a good balance between surprise and letting go.

I hope you'll get lost in this cavern too, enjoy the discovery! huhu”

August 2018: It’s already been three years since Domenique Dumont made its entrance in the music world with a debut EP named Comme Ca. Despite a seemingly very quiet musical activity (the opening song to Antinote’s compilation Five Years Of Loving Notes was the only song released by the band in 3 years) a few things have changed in-between these two summers: Domenique Dumont is no more the mysterious lone French producer we introduced last time but a Latvian duo, Arturs Liepins and Anete Stuce, which has been collaborating with “an enigmatic French artist whose existence cannot be confirmed nor denied” (sorry, but it sounds like there’s still some mystery in the air, and, again, we’re just as clueless as you might be), the duo have been touring live and, most importantly, they kept on broadening their musical palette experimenting in a definitely pop field. Eight of these experiments are now tied together in Miniatures de Auto Rhythm.

The record probably begins where Comme Ca ended: frantic but light drum programing backbones a solar and slightly melancholic melody on Le Début De La Fin (“the beginning of the end”). However, the scope gets enlarged as soon as one reaches the second tune, Quasi Quasi, or Quand, on the flip side, perhaps the most overtly pop-rock oriented song on the record with its Mediterranean guitar and emotional bridge.

The road towards the apex of the record, Le Soleil Dans Le Monde, is a narrow and windy one, punctuated by toy instrumentals like Ono Mambo Haiku or the Donkey Kong Country-friendly Message Of The Diving Bird; however it never departs from its original tongue-in-cheek attitude. It’s quite pleasant to imagine these eight “miniatures” as field recordings from an enchanted world of pop music designed by some Pierre & Gilles’ disciples – or are there
musical interpretations of half-mechanical, half-organic creations from a certain Otto Rhiesem (who might have inhabited the Locus Solus villa)? There might be no definitive answers to this second set of riddles by Domenique Dumont.
