Music is a unique art form, which allows to get in touch with people over their sense of hearing without the need to rely on words. This principle is the basis of MATT & MORELLIs work, and it is reflected in contemplative, melancholic melodies and propulsive, mesmerizing rhythms.
MATT, who used to work as an event-manager at an early age, came into contact with the basses of Sven Väth, Format B and Animal Trainer even before taking up his function, leaving him with a passion for technoid sounds that has anything but diminished up to this day.
MORELLI, who in his childhood and youth mainly gravitated towards Trance, Drum and Bass and Hardcore, adds new elements to the well-tried techno formula. Given his somewhat different musical background, he provides MATT & MORELLIs music with recognition value, which is further ensured by the duos decision to name all tracks and formulate all vocals in their native tongue of Swiss German.
