Today we a premiere a track from Welsh native Maroki who joins the Running Out Of steam team for a six track EP of eclectic grooves, from breaks to moon-lit acid. ‘Alfred Stole My Brain’ is tranquil ceremony of electronics which is both welcoming and meditative, but maintains a functional dance-floor vibe.

Originally from West Wales now residing in Amsterdam in a studio nestled beside the river Ij, Maroki now joins the ROOS family following a string of stellar releases.

Maroki leaves nothing to chance, using his classically trained skills and expertly engineered sounds into a pool of influences that range from breaks, moon-lit acid and heads-down chuggy goodness.

The now Amsterdam based producer has put the down and grafted in the studio for this release, pulling inspiration from various places and pulling out a mixed bag of goodies for his debut on Running Out Of Steam.

‘Alfred stole my brain’ poses as a swarm of warm and inviting melodies, gliding flanges, deep bass and blissful harmonics, but stays dance-floor ready with crisp and poignant drum work. This is a real delight from the Welsh man.

Ross Harper said: ‘Narcissist' is inspired by my time in the organised evangelical church, where I came across some very well meaning individuals, but actually the agenda was very controlling. I grew up in a single parent family with just my mum around, and I associate more with the feminine than the masculine, in the end, although I have a serious faith in God, I found the male dominated evangelical church very oppressive to my spirit. Interestingly when I challenged the male leadership regarding issues of why homosexuals were not allowed to be church members I met severe opposition, they wrote me a letter asking me to justify my beliefs against scripture, so I decided it was time to leave that chapter of my life.

After the successful opening of the new SNC Digital catalog by Parco Palaz, Berlin-based Tom now takes the wheel and heats things up with his “LB” EP.
Before Tom released his first EP “Not A Bright Future” on Temperamental Club Sound at the end of 2021, which was followed a little later by “Lose Yourself” on Paloma, he was already active in Berlin's nightlife for many years. His background as booker, resident and label manager at Paloma becomes evidently audible on his new release on SNC.
With powerful, driving beats and swinging melodies, “LB” expresses an unmistakable invitation to the dance floor. After the atmospheric introduction with classic house chords in “Chandeliers in Pyramids”, “Step Outside” with vocals by UK rapper KXNE clearly proves hit potential. “Dial 303” creates an extremely groovy ode to acid house, before “Topcraft 202” ventures into more experimental realms. Finally, Azo from Brussels, who has made a name for herself in recent years as a producer, DJ and party host, delivers a perfect finish with her remix of “Chandeliers in Pyramids“.
All in all, Tom has excellently managed to convert his knowledge as a DJ into the production of a modern acid house tool box that comes with a guarantee to energize the crowd.
