After the release of 'Mysterion' in 2003, a friend of the band asked if he could do a house / techno remix of an R.A. song. We agreed and he picked 'My Own Despair'. This remix sat in the vault collecting dust for many years, but now, for the first time, it sees the light of day on SoundCloud. Why make it available now? Why not.

Back in 2002 Neil Edge @ SotD has the bright idea to do a christmas CD with traditional songs done by various metal bands. This was a collaberation between Royal Anguish and Henrik Ryosa from Mistral (Canada).

During the Mysterion recording sessions, we recorded many tracks for the song 'I Close My Eyes'. As time proceeded, we had to make a decision on which tracks to keep and which to shelve, as there were too many. Drummer Anthony Smith and I came up with the bright idea to simply record two versions, one with the heavier tracks, and this one, much more ethereal and atmospheric. Turned out to be one of my favorites from the sessions.
